Test Results Too

I just got back test results and my doctor really wasn't much help in letting me know what they mean. He referred me to a GI to talk with him.

My results are: IGA positive, IGG Negative, Transgluten Negative

He said if my IGG were positive it would be a more clear sign of Celiac but the IGA is not as reliable. What does this mean ? I feel like he is speaking in a different language...

It is really the other way around, if he means that the antigliadin IgA was positive and the antigliadin IgG was negative.

The antigliadin IgG is elevated in more people, so they say it is less specific (but Dr. Ford says those with antigliadin IgG need to go gluten-free too www.doctorgluten.com )

Officially the antigliadin IgA being positive means it is positive for celiac, and here in Europe they certainly would do the biopsy then.

Here in this country the labs do not even run the antigliadin IgG, nor the tissue transglutaminase IgG, unless the total IgA shows IgA deficeincy.

So it is tha other way round.

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?
