New Issue: Gerd In Son

My son, 7 yrs, has a new issue that is creeping up and I am at a loss as to what it is. He has severe acid reflux. We went in for an upper GI and there is no hernia or anything else for that matter, he has been on a strict gluten-free diet since he was 2 and 1/2 yrs. The peds gastro at Phx childrens put him on Prevacid which controls the acid. He wants to keep him on this for 6 months and then take him off and see what happens. He is not sure what is casuing this. We had some bloodwork done as well, celiac panel, cbc, pancrease (sp?), liver, etc. so I might get some info there but otherwise am at a loss. I had horrid GERD for years but that was caused but a hiatal hernia which I had repaired. Anyone else have this issue or can give me any info?

      I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.
