Gluten Free Food Virginia Beach, Va

Wheat free in va

Wheat free in va Newbie

I found the most delicious gluten-free/wheat-free bread in Virginia Beach. It is called THE REAL BREAD SHOP, it is in a small strip mall behind BP on Reon Drive (off of Indian River Rd) in the Kempsville area.

The owner makes almost everything from an organic flour that is free of wheat.

IT IS WONDERFUL!!!!

And guess what else.....you ready for this....he makes pastries, cakes, and cookies with this wheat free flour!!!!

He also sells the flour and also sells frozen pizza dough which I have not tried yet.

The owners name is Pete, he is so friendly, he will be glad to explain the flours and the operation, he gave me a tour.

I have never been so excited since I found out about this allergy 7 years ago.

They will also ship their breads: 977 Reon Dr, Virginia Beach, VA, (757) 361-0014.

Also, for those of you that go to Richmond, in December a restaurant called PIZZA FUSION will be opening, they offer a wheat free pizza, can't wait to try it!!!

Any more VA restaurant ideas? I actually live near Lynchburg, there is NOTHING here!

Some might. Some might not. Why don't you try it? Taste is a very personal and individual thing. I don't know that anyone can speak for you.

Welcome to the forum, @Thoas! Just curious. Why do you ask? Is there some reason you are hesitant to try it besides taste?

Has anyone made cream of buckwheat using chocolate milk?

I was instructed to take Algaecal as alternative to bisphosphonate drugs for osteoporosis. I did for 2 years, 1200 mg a day. My cholesterol spiked above normal during this time. We watched it and finally determined best to get a test to see if calcium was causing the spike. I have never had high cholesterol before. Could the celiac non absorption have caused calcium to build in my arteries? Now put on a statin to lower cholesterol (began at 180 went to 240 while on Alcagal). thanks
