I think it's monumental.

I also like the fact that it directs you to a medical doctor should you test postitive for further testing.

I wonder if this could be used to make sure no "hidden" gluten is getting into your system, or for those who are not healing well enough on the diet.

Studies indicating the rate of accuracy would be paramount.

Studies indicating the rate of accuracy would be paramount.

I think the first link said 30 of 31 dx celiac using the card were accurate. I emailed the company to ask how long one would have to eat gluten, and how much, for results to be valid (if already gluten-free).

I'm glad I didn't pay for gene tests yet. If I have it (definitely have intolerance), this will make it far easier to encourage family to test!

I emailed the co. to see what they recommend in the way of a gluten challenge for their product to be valid, and got this response:

Thank you for your inquiry.

The Canadian Celiac Association has provided us with guidance on that

issue. Their response is as follows:

"1. If a person started a gluten-free diet or reduced gluten consumption,

they should resume gluten consumption by eating the equivalent of 1-4

slices of regular bread daily.

2. The studies generally recommend at least 4 weeks (this comes from

a gluten challenge test) but this is very much an individual thing and

could be longer."

I hope you find this helpful.

Pretty much same as for endoscopy :-(

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
