Yummy Fried Rice

This is something I make several times a month. It's so easy to do and I serve it alone - my guys gobble it down.

Here are ingredients needed:

rice

bacon (or other meat - chicken, pork, or no meat if desired)

frozen peas/carrots

few eggs, slightly scrambled

gluten-free soy sauce

Cook up some rice ahead of time. I typically do 2 cups rice/4 cups water in my rice cooker.

Dice and fry until crispy 4-?? pieces of bacon. Use as many, or few, as you'd like. I typically do 8-12 pieces. If using another meat or no meat, you'll want to use a few Tbl of oil.

Remove the bacon and quick-fry the eggs. Dump in the bacon and rice and douse with as much soy sauce as desired. I typically use 1/4 cup or so. quickly stir it together so each grain of rice is coated. Once this is done, add the peas and carrots. Fry until these are heated through and serve.

That's it. Super quick. Super easy.

I like to toss in diced chicken once the bacon is cooked. I dice it super fine so it only takes 5 minutes or so to cook. Then add the eggs and go from there.

Super yummy :)

Yum, sounds like the recipe I use except I add green onions and sometimes celery or water chestnuts. Its so easy and makes alot. Great for breakfast too!

Love your "cookie lady"!

We do a very similar fried rice, but we use shrimp, ham, mushroom, peas, and carrots (and eggs, rice, and soy sauce of course). Fried rice is excellent in a thermos for a meal away from home.

We've always had a family recipe for a fried rice that uses butter and bacon grease.

cook 4-6 slices of bacon. remove meat and leave grease in pan

add 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melt into bacon grease

add 2 cups cooked white rice (we've always been Uncle Bens people)

salt and pepper to taste (if you salted the rice while cooking, omit the salt)

add the cooked bacon in pieces

you may have to add extra butter to get the rice thouroughly covered (you know when it's right when there's some butter/bacon grease pooled under the rice and the rice is yellowish

cook over medium head, stirring frequently, until it starts to crisp up, usually about 15 minutes.

this is pretty greasy and fattening, but it's pretty good

we serve it with grilled fish

goes well with baked beans as side dishes with BBQ

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
