Pls Recommend Snack Foods

I keep buying snack foods (i.e. potato chips, tortilla chips, cheese curls) that say "Gluten Free" on the package and then I'm reading about people being glutened by them. I've been buying Utz brand because it says gluten free on the package, but have read here that some people are really having severe reactions. Are there any tortilla chips, potato chips or cheese curls that are safe? All suggestions welcomed! And thanks. I've learned so much from visiting these forums.

I buy Mission Tortilla Chips, Pamela's cookies (I like the little ones better than the larger ones), Planters 100% Natural Harvest Jumbo cashews (roasted in sea salt, no added oils)- I can only find these at Target for some reason, raisins, Kraft marshmallows mixed with Cocoa Pebbles to make treats, cheese, M&M's, Dove Chocolate (not sure if all are gluten-free but if you call the 800 number they list them there). Of course all fruits and veggies. Stonyfield organic yogurt (of course not the ones with cereal/granola), nachos.

Anyway, these are my faves.

I'm sure there are more items, just can't think of them right now.

Wow, we can have Cocoa Pebbles? Didn't know that. Thank you for all the suggestions.

Yes you can have coco pebbles and fruity pebbles only from Post I believe. I also found out you can buy malt o meal fruity dyno bites. If you have a walmart near you I know there gummy worms say gluten free on the back and they are only 1.00. You can have Doritos Cool Ranch chips and all flavors of those Lays Stax chips that come in the can. Not the pringles though, just the lays stax. Walmarts lunch meat will say gluten free on them as well. Hmm, that is all I can think of for now sorry it isn't much. But then there really isn't much out there that says gluten free on them for sure. Hope this helps.

They may want to also eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms/issues and are doing additional tests.  Here is info about blood tests for celiac disease--if positive an endoscopy where biopsies of your intestinal villi are taken to confirm is the typical follow up.

In the Europe the new protocol for making a celiac disease diagnosis in children is if their tTg-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) levels are 10 times or above the positive level for celiac disease--and you are above that level. According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy: Blood Test Alone Can Diagnose Celiac Disease in Most Children and Adults TGA-IgA at or Above Five Times Normal Limit in Kids Indicates Celiac Disease in Nearly All Cases No More Biopsies to Diagnose Celiac Disease in Children! May I ask why you've had so many past tTg-IgA tests done, and many of them seem to have been done 3 times during short time intervals?

@JettaGirl, "Coeliac" is the British spelling of "celiac". Same disease.

This may sound ridiculous but is this supposed to say Celiacs? I looked up Coeliacs because you never know, there’s a lot of diseases related to a disease that they come up with similar names for. It’s probably meant to say Celiacs but I just wanted to confirm.

I was told it was to see how much damage has been caused. But just told CT with contrast not any other name for it.
