Help Interpreting Lab Results

My3B's Rookie

I was wondering if some of you could weigh in on your interpretation of our results:

Me : Sypmtoms: IBS, hypothyroid, ashtmas, migraines, depression, fertility issues, keratosis pilaris

Gliadin IGG 2.2 ref <20 neg

Gliadin IGA 2.7 red <20 eng

Reticulin antibodies positive 1:20

Tiss. Transglutaminase 0.9 reference < 4

Endomysial ab IGA - negative

My daughter age 7 1/2

Symptoms: very slow growth, size of average 5 year old, intermittent diarrhea, "moody" days, very chatty (sometimes symptom of mild ADD) , keratosis pilaris

TTG - IGG 1 ref 0-15

TTG - IGA 2 ref 0-15

Gliadin IGG 1 ref 0-15

Gliadin IGA 2 ref 0-15

Endomysial IGA - neg

Reticulin IGA - neg

My son, age 5

symptoms: ADD with problems on school, especially afternoon, occasional weird rashes, not sure if it means anything but recently had acute appendicitis and an emergency appy.

TTG - IGG 1 ref 0-15

TTG - IGA 2 ref 0-15

Gliadin IGG 3 ref 0-15

Gliadin IGA 1 ref 0-15

Endomysial IGA - neg

Reticulin IGA - neg

So I am confused, these would all seem to be essentially negative but does even the low numbers for antigliadin mean we are producing some antibodies and therefore should go gluten free? I am leaning towards this but was hoping for a diagnosis so we could get some help regarding school lunches etc. Some school systems are accepting gluten free regarding ADD/ADHD but we would be the first in our school system gluten free and it will be a very uphill battle without a firm diagnosis.

If anyone has had similar results or could give me some guidance I would appreciate it. I am going to seen a GI regardless and will probably end up trying the biopsy but will probably opt out of this for the kids.

Thanks for your help

I was taking medicine for sibo but it was not agreeing with my stomach at all.Was on gabapentin but it amps me up.I was taking in morning because it wasn't allowing me to sleep. This has always been an issue with medicine and me.Even going to dentist, the good shot that numbs you once, I can't take because it makes my heart beat fast and I  get the shakes.I have to take the crappy stuff and get injected always more than 4 times always. Its infuriating

I showed one doctor I went to once because completely clueless of celiac disease and yes that one was connected to a well known hospital and she said oh thats just a bunch of people that think they are celiac coming together. I said um no they have doctors and knowledge behind what is being written. So bay area is Downplaying this site! SADLY

If you successfully digest gluten with enzyme supplements so it won’t give you side effects, your challenge won’t be worthwhile because the digested fragments of gluten also won’t stimulate antibody production or cause intestinal damage.

You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version of the medication: To see the ingredients you will need to click on the correct version of the medication and maker in the results, then scroll down to "Ingredients and Appearance" and click it, and then look at "Inactive Ingredients," as any gluten ingredients would likely appear there, rather than in the Active Ingredients area. https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/
