hi

i would just like an opinion if this sounds like celiac disease

over the last 9 months or so i have have gotten really bad stomach pains about 3 times, they come on for about 10 minutes and then just disappear

and then in the last about 3 months i have been getting like white stuff(after research i think it is called candida) on the back of my tongue, after scraping it off and brushing my teeth and using mouthwash, it just returns very quickly, and it leaves a real bad taste in my mouth

also, a couple of times it is like a weird smell is coming from my mouth, like a stale smell, i thought it was coming from my nose but i might just be imagining it

i should also point out that a close family member found out they had it a few years ago, thats how i know about

i was told to get checked out but i never did

could these symptoms be celiac? thanks in advance

There are a ton of varying symptoms that people can get with celiac disease. Yours might be related or might not. If you have a relative with celiac the chances are higher that you could have it. So it might be a good idea to talk to your doc, or maybe your relative's doc who has celiac. One typical symptom is gas and bloating which can cause pain. I suppose you might also have an ulcer too. If it keeps happening a trip to the doctor seems like a wise thing to do. Some people keep a food journal to document their symptoms after eating foods. This migh thelp you pinpoint if the pain follows eating certain foods.

How is it going with changing your doggies' food? Hope it helps.

(I'm new to this forum!) I have always had problems with Bob's Red Mill's certified gluten-free oats and oat flour, but have been able to eat other certified gluten-free oats, from Only Oats for example. I'd be interested to know the results of other products you test as well, particularly beans, as I have a hard time finding gluten-free beans in Canada.

With all symptoms of gluten intolerance, I have begun searching for appropriate food replacements. In particular I need advice on the choice of wheat-free bread. The choice is vast so choosing the grain alone is confusing.Naturally taste is a personal choice but any thoughts you have will be greatly appreciated.

Will do! Here are some other test results from the last few days using the Elisa Technologies tests. All of these products tested Gluten Free, ( or more accurately, under 10ppm)  - Teddies crunchy Peanut Butter  - Philosopher Foods Sprouted Almond Butter - Jacobsen Salt Co Black Garlic Ginger Salt
