Corndog Recipe

I was craving corndogs lateley since my husband and kids have been eating the State Fair corndogs. Needless to say I was jelous. I searched this site and found this recipe that Grump1 originally posted. However I did not to want to make a pile so I cut the recipe down and the resulting batter will do approx. two packages of hotdogs. Just enough for the family and a few extra to put in the freezer. I loved this recipe and they turned out really good once I got the consistency of the batter right. For my personal taste I added a little more sugar. Here is the original recipe:

I got this recipe some time ago. Finely made them night before last. Silly me it was more batter then I had hot dogs. Now I need to know if any one knows this recipe and can tell me if I can freeze the rest of the batter for later use with out harming it. Here is the recipe which is a GREAT one by the way.

By Belinda Meeker.

Ingredients:

6 cups gluten-free cornmeal

3 cups gluten-free flour

This batter also makes great onion rings. I found that out when I made so much of it and have to use it for some thing.

It would be great on onion rings. I hadn't even thought of that. I mixed up the batter yesterday and only actually made 1/2 of it into batter, so I froze the rest of the dry ing. When I'm having one of of those days where I want "comfort food" I'll make them. Yum!

Hi, I'm new to the boards and the first thing I saw was this recipe. :D

:D POGOS! I haven't had them in forever. Well, seems like forever... ;) A couple of years anyway.

Thanks so much for the recipe. I'm on my way to the grocers now! A childhood fav. so glad I joined the site.

Cheers,

Lisa
