I have many symptoms of celiac disease...but it would seem celiac is not going to be the answer for my problems. Although, my full labs are not back. I just pulled down what is available today...

My Tiss Transg IgG is still pending

Endomysial Aby IGA is Negative

IGA: 118 range is 70-400

I guess I am kind of low normal in this.

Does anyone have thoughts on how to interpret these? I am assuming celiac disease is not likely to be my problem.

I don't think you can say that until you have all of the results and post them here along with their ranges. There are those who are good at interpreting those.

Also know that there are many who have false negatives with regard to bloodwork. So a negative blood panel does not rule out celiac disease. An endoscopy, dietary response and even gene testing all can factor into a diagnosis. Do you have others with celiac disease in your family? Also you could have gluten intolerance for which there is no test but it does respond well to the gluten-free diet.

I would say get your full test results and post them here. There will be helpful responses and you can go from there.

      I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

      Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?

      Thankyou so much for your words.Its a hard battle when a supposed well known hospital whose celiac " specialist " has down played me because my colon looks fine and put it in my medical and so pcp doesn't take seriously. In their eyes we all carry that gene.Im having alot of bad days trying to be positive because of it.
