On a whim, I stopped gluten. I have had Chronic right lower quadrant pain for ten years. I also usually have a BM maybe twice a week. If I drink beer my face and hands swell and I get abnormally sick ,unable to leave my bed. The pain is gone now I wake up without a swollen face , I have some new stomach pains but not the old one and these are tolerable. So do I have to eat it again to get a biopsy I really don't want to

Yes you would need to go back to gluten for biopsy or blood test. You could go with Enterolab for stool testing for antibodies if you want testing without the gluten challenge. You also have to option of just staying on the diet if you choose.

      Thanks rmj when I first rang up it was we can't do it without , but I talked to a lovely lady and she sorted it all out for me, so it pays to be persistent , I would have had to decline if I hadn't been given the water option too , so yes I'm glad too 😌

      Had my MRI today I didn't have to have the manitol with my allergy's , I just had a litre of water , they were great with my concerns , so let's see if anything comes of if will keep posted once I have results 👍

      Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.
