hi every one ,

iam very new to gluten-free. My blood work came back around 7 weeks ago 99%positive. havent had biopsy yet.

I hope this is the right place and i have did this right.

my problem is i am craving corm meal and want to make bread and a few othe dishes i need to use it for.

problem is i have called goya and im waiting on a list from them but I did see them on one of the lists as iffy products. quacker forget it , I have called them and they told me to basically avoid all their products except , a syrup, which I thought was very nice. walmart has a lambs brand which my store doesnt carry .

and then there is a brand called Hope but it only has an address on the bag ??

or there is bob;s who makes gluten-free products but none of his products for corn have gluten-free on them and the health food store said no they werent gluten-free.

help what does every one else use for corn meal out there. ??? thank you.

also several stores make their own versions of puffed rice cereal , they all pretty much just say brown rice on them , already tryed arrowheads think thats right name and felt sick for a few days so threw away. I really cant say for sure it was the cereal but couldnt find anything else in my diet to question at that time, but i do have so many allergies or intorerances?? and seems to be growing there are days i feel lost . thank you all.

hope this was done right wasnt sure how to post these issues . rosie

I personally don't believe you have an obligation to disclose such a diagnosis with your doctor or insurance company, especially if a health insurance company can use this information against you for the rest of your life--and yes, it does look like we may be headed back a time a place where pre-existing conditions could affect the cost and ability to get health insurance--but that remains to be seen. If we were talking about a congenital heart condition I might offer different advice, but for celiac disease where the only treatment is a gluten-free diet and there is no subsidy for gluten-free food costs in the USA, it seems reasonable for you to go with more privacy regarding your test--just confirm with the company that your results will ALWAYS be private (i.e. see 23andMe news--their data has or will be auctioned off in bankruptcy proceedings).

I’m just worried about pre-existing conditions and my imminent loss of insurance. I’m self-employed. Finding insurance outside the ACA marketplace in Alabama is almost impossible even when you’re healthy. I still have 5 years before I’m eligible for Medicare. There is no treatment for Celiac except gluten avoidance. If Celiac disease becomes part of my medical history — even though the ‘treatment’ (gluten avoidance) is ‘free’ (only I can treat myself and it costs my insurance nothing), I might find myself uninsured if something like cancer arises in the next 5 years.

I had to look up "TVP" and it is this product: https://www.bobsredmill.com/product/tvp-textured-veg-protein What type of test did you use? Was it a mail order kit, if so, what brand, or did you send out samples to be tested at a lab?

Yes I have 2 eggs per day and I drink one cup of milk the. There's a big family meals which sometimes there is meat or finish or peans or our traditional foods .and then at night I make gluten free cakes which I eat with my protein shake . can you recommend for me things that I can buy and eat alone when I am hungry .do you think black molasses and spirilulina or moringa powder are good if I add them to my diet?
