Glutino Dream Cookies Vanilla Creme And Chocolate

Hi... I recently found Glutino's Gluten Free Dream Cookies Vanilla and Chocolate Creme for $99 per box. I was elated because I have loved Glutino's Wafers and the price was incredible. After eating them modestly, 1 package over 2 days, I woke up feeling awful. The feelings was similar to how I had felt before going Gluten free. It could be a coincidence but they were the only new item I had eaten. Has anyone else had any difficulties with these Glutino cookies? I bought a few cases and it would be a shame to have to return them or give them away. Can anyone assure me they are ok as whenever this happens, I actually become afraid to try again since feeling ill is so de-motivating?

Has anyone had any problems with Glutino?

thanks

Tom

Tom,

I have had great success with Glutino products. But I cannot have a lot of sweets, carbohydrates or grains or I start to feel sick. So I can minimally snack on some stuff, but usually follow by drink 20-30 oz of water after.

I've never had a problem with them but could you have additional intolerances? Soy or dairy?

I have had great success with Glutino's products. But they do have other allergens in them. My friend who has Celiac, and a soy and casein intolerance cannot eat them. So is there a chance that you have another intolerance or allergy that is in their products?

Glutino is a dedicated facilty gluten wise. However I thought for a while that I was getting glutened but it turned out I have reactions to soy. My guess would be you also have an additional intolerance.

I have not made my own juices but have made my own granola copycat recipe from Trader Joes Turmeric ginger granola. Have you made your own juices? blending vs cold pressed what is better?

Sadly, I just now see the extremely tiny and hard to read wording on the label from some I got from nuts.com last year and it's below the certified gluten free sign which is more obvious. Another concern is that there's no expiration date to be found on any of the packages I have gotten.. It's confusing because they claim these are certified gluten free which Is why I got them due to having celiac. Looks like Tierra Farm has the lesser of the allergens, specifically wheat, so I will have to give them a try. Thanks

After many years of running Celiac.com, one thing I've noticed is that I rarely hear about support groups that organize gluten-free picnics. It seem like this would be a great way to get celiacs together. I've attended various conferences, meetings, and events over the years, but strangely, no gluten-free picnics.
