Pepto

I know Pepto bismal is gluten-free, well the liquid stuff but are the chewable tablets gluten-free as well??

I was diagnosed last Sept. and going gluten-free cleared up my D immediately, then in late April I was in Florida and glutened almost every day, it was awful. I've had the runs and a sore belly since then and very little helps. Yes I'm calling my doctor today (which probably means I'm going to go thru weeks of tests, none of which I have time for and can't really take time off of work right now... sigh) but in the mean time Pepto keeps my belly from hurting, but its hard to carry around a big bottle of liquid...

Thanks, Susan

Susan,

When I'm feeling lousy or my belly is hurting Pepto is the only thing that brings me relief. I keep a bottle at work and a bottle at home. I also carry some tablets with me if I go out (Just In Case) and have not had any problem with them.

Best Of Luck!

Yep the tablets are gluten-free.

Remember to take the tablet Pepto WITH water! (Directions say not to chew and swallow without water)

I recently went back to school and decided to be prepared for all problems. So, now I bring a bottle of water along with my pepto in case I need it during class.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
