That's a tough one.

When my kids were little, we let them trick or treat. Once we got home, they "traded" me their offensive candies for some homemade treats. I made fudge, brownies, mini cup cakes, ect. and cut and wrapped them up into bite sized pieces. The trading process extended the thrill of trick or treating. The kids didn't mind giving up their Snickers. Good luck.

Hi.

Whole Foods and naturalcandystore.com have gluten-free, dairy-free treats made without high fructose corn syrup, so they're corn free too. The Surf Sweets gummy bears, sour gummy bears and jellybeans are yummy.

Also, I second what Jeanne mentioned.....providing a trade-bag filled with small toys, Halloween pencils, glow sticks, etc. and a few candy treats that your little one can have. My son can't have artificial food dye, preservatives or flavor either so we swap his Halloween loot. We just tell him that the people his dad works with love it when he brings in candy, so daddy's taking his candy to work. Then, I have a super cool trade bag for him. About a week ago he told me he couldn't wait for his Halloween bag. Guess I did a good job last year. B)

BTW Target has lots of good Halloween favors.

Have fun!

The corn allergy is a tough one. The boy I knew who had it also had an allergy to some kind of yellow dye. I bought some candy he could eat at the health food store. I can't remember what it was called. They were little fruit flavored pellets.

Its definitely tough to get around the candy problem....especially with kids : ( But Sun Rype makes a 100% real fruit candy....thet're in little tiny pieces so they actually seem like candy. On the back they even say gluten-free which made me feel WAY better giving them to her. Sometimes its so overwhelming trying to remember what is what. So, try these out they might just do the trick : )

Good luck!!!

      Thanks for your input.

If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly flareups.

No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done recently?

Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
