Great article!! Makes me VERY thankful I didn't feed my sons grains until they were 6 mos. I was fed grains from the moment I was born (as a lot of babies were in the late 50's and 60's), and have always thought that there was a connection there. Sigh... That is what the Dr.s at that time told new Mothers to do. Alas, they are now learning what a bad decision that was!!

There is another link in the middle of that article for the connection between Osteoperosis and Celiac. That one is interesting too!!

I didn't feed my daughter any gluten containing grains until about 5 or 6 months... prior to that she was breastfed so I'm wondering if the gluten could have gotten to her that way. I wasn't gluten free yet so my diet was packed full of gluten... when I started feeding her other foods I just pureed fresh fruits and vegetables for her (it was cheaper than jarred baby food)... so I know there wasn't gluten in that. I'm confused. Maybe she was the exception to this, or the theory is flawed.

      New issue

      I was taking medicine for sibo but it was not agreeing with my stomach at all.Was on gabapentin but it amps me up.I was taking in morning because it wasn't allowing me to sleep.This has always been an issue with medicine and me.Even going to dentist, the good shot that numbs you once, I can't take because it makes my heart beat fast and I get the shakes...

      I showed one doctor I went to once because completely clueless of celiac disease and yes that one was connected to a well known hospital and she said oh thats just a bunch of people that think they are celiac coming together. I said um no they have doctors and knowledge behind what is being written. So bay area is Downplaying this site! SADLY

      Do Gluten Enzymes actually work?

      If you successfully digest gluten with enzyme supplements so it won’t give you side effects, your challenge won’t be worthwhile because the digested fragments of gluten also won’t stimulate antibody production or cause intestinal damage.

      You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version of the medication: To see the ingredients you will need to click on the correct version of the medication and maker in the results, then scroll down to "Ingredients and Appearance"...
