I've been having a recurring rash and I hope someone can shed some light on the subject. For the last 3 months I have been having recurring "bumps" on my buttocks. They are mostly scatered on the left side but a few have appeared on the right. Sometimes the area will burn before I notice anything. Other times just bumps which become itchy that I scratch untill they bleed/scab. Some of them heal quickly while others hang around and flare up now and then. I have acne like bumps on my neck too but they are not pimples. They dont have a burning sensation when they appear though. The only reason I believe it could be DH is because for the last month and a bit I have had episodes of D/C,Neuropathy in my legs and feet(mostly the left side),stomach aches, Blood in my stool, Sciatic pain, quite the list I know! I have had 3 herpes IGG tests and all negative for both types. The doctor said it is not an std. Today i went and had some tests done for celiac, B12, diabetes, Thyroid. Question is does this sound like DH? Does it have to be symmetrical? Do some of your sores have a burning/stinging sensation before they appear? Thanks in advance!

sounds like it... and it's "classically symmetrical" but not always..

Mine wasn't ever symmetirical and I have it pretty bad.

Yes, the pain, stinging or itching can sometimes be felt before the rash appears.

I too, have had the acne like or mosquito bite like lesions as well as the blistery watery rash kind.

Yours could very well be DH

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.

To evaluate the TTG antibody result we’d need to know the normal range for that lab.  Labs don’t all use the same units.  However, based on any normal ranges that I’ve seen and the listed result being greater than a number rather than a specific number, I’d say yes, that is high! Higher than the range where the test can give a quantitative result. You got good advice not to change your diet yet.  If you went gluten free your intestines would start to heal, confusing any further testing,
