I will be going to Israel for three weeks and am new to all of this... I know what to look for in the US, but how do I find out the translations for words like maltitol and modified food starch?

In Israel things will be written in Hebrew. I am not sure if they have English on them, too. Hebrew will be very hard to understand unless you are familiar with it. A good idea is to get in touch with your countries Celiac Support Group Organization. They can help put you in contact with group leaders in other countries and that leader can help you figure out what you need. If you are staying at a hotel or with a person see if you can send yourself a package there. You could put some gluten-free foods in there like pasta and such. Be sure to try and mail that early because it will take two or more weeks to arrive unless you send it to go faster. If none of that works you should try sticking with fruits, vegetables, plain anaimals, and those sorts of things. Good luck!

Good idea, thanks!

You might want to also search the net for a translated card in Hebrew. If you have a friend or co-worker who is Jewish, they may be able to translate your English card for you or may know someone who can.

It can take longer than 6 months for antibodies to drop to the normal range,  My DGP IgA took a few years as I got stricter and stricter about being gluten free  But having symptoms again could also mean you’re getting some gluten in your diet.

Hi, I just had my 6 month check after being diagnosed Celiac 6 months ago.  All of my panel numbers were normal except: Deamidated Gliadin Abs, IgA (It is 31 with high being over 30)  I have also been having symptoms again. Am I not actually being as careful as I think I am or does it take longer than 6 months for this particular test to come back down?  I can't get ahold of my doctor this week as she is out.     Thank you!

That is very strange, because it looks to me like two very different test results, but for the same test! It's definitely time to contact your doctor for clarity on this.

Same day which is strange to me.

Scott, thank you SO MUCH for this!! She has been through so much in the last three years as we've tried to track down answers. This language will definitely help me help her to reframe.
