How Long Does It Take For Ema Iga And Ttg Blood Tests To Come In?

My GI doc is semi-retired and only works on Thursdays. I have an appointment with him next Thursday to find out the results of my Celiac blood work and small bowel series (for Crohn's). I'm doing the gluten challenge now, so I'm trying to push taking the blood test as close to my dr. appointment as possible. If I took the blood test Monday or Tuesday would that give the lab enough time to run the tests and report to my GI? The lab is at my local hospital, which is also where my GI practices. Thanks in advance!!

I had my blood taken yesterday morning and got results this afternoon. But you may want to call the hospital to be sure they can do it that fast.

      Thoughts? Non-endoscopic Celiac diagnosis in two year old

      Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong. yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.

      One doctor suggested it, but then seemed irritated when I asked follow-up questions. Oh well—

      @GlorietaKaro, your respiratory reactions to gluten make me wonder if there might also be an allergic (anaphylaxis) component at work here.

In the meantime, I will carry on has I have been— it’s working! Thanks also for the validation— sometimes I just feel crushed by disbelief. Not enough to make me eat gluten though—
