Six Months Of Flakes In My Urine

Chiana

Recommended Posts

Chiana Apprentice

I've been passing lots of tissue-like flakes for the last several months. When I first went to my GP she ran a culture and found an infection. After two unsuccessful courses of antibiotics, I was sent to a urologist. He put me on two months of antibiotics, hoping that it was just something really hard to kick. Now that the drugs are all gone, I'm still passing clumps and flakes of some tissue-y substance. I'm totally freaked out. I see my urologist again the second week of July, I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this?

Does it hurt? It sounds like a yeast infection.

That's the thing...it doesn't hurt, and I haven't had a yeast infection.

I used to get yeast infections but not have any symtoms except for the white flakey stuff. A course of antibiotics would actually make this worse and it would come back. I hope you are on some good probiotics after being on those antibioics for so long. Cranberry tablets (AZO) seemed to help me as well. I hope you can figure it out.

It can take longer than 6 months for antibodies to drop to the normal range,  My DGP IgA took a few years as I got stricter and stricter about being gluten free  But having symptoms again could also mean you’re getting some gluten in your diet.

Hi, I just had my 6 month check after being diagnosed Celiac 6 months ago.  All of my panel numbers were normal except: Deamidated Gliadin Abs, IgA (It is 31 with high being over 30)  I have also been having symptoms again. Am I not actually being as careful as I think I am or does it take longer than 6 months for this particular test to come back down?  I can't get ahold of my doctor this week as she is out.     Thank you!

That is very strange, because it looks to me like two very different test results, but for the same test! It's definitely time to contact your doctor for clarity on this.

Scott, thank you SO MUCH for this!! She has been through so much in the last three years as we've tried to track down answers. This language will definitely help me help her to reframe.
