Hi , I am 20 years old and I have been gluten free for a year. I was tested for celiacs and the result was negative, but my doctor said it could be wrong. I have many symptoms of it and going gluten-free is the only thing that has helped. As a child I would get hospitalized often because of stomach aches and because I would stop eating. I was too young to say that I was constipated so the doctors didn

This sounds so much like celiac. My daughter has it and she never had the classic symptoms so the doctors didn't catch it. She was constipated, took the MiraLax, ate more fiber, ended up in the ER, etc. It was only 2.5 months ago that we got the diagnosis and we started connecting the dots. The distended stomach is one of her issues as well. I don't know if it just takes time and healing but will be interested in other replies to that one. Good for you for finally getting it figured out and feeling better!

My feeling is that histamine intolerance/MCAS is doesn't get enough press in the medical world and is greatly underdiagnosed.

I just saw in Trent’s response something about the vitamins. Good to know.

Have you heard anything about being celiac and pills, vitamins not absorbing into your system?  I hope that makes sense. Basically, you don’t get the full effect. There is something that helps the absorption, like Vit C?? Thanks for all of your help.

Updating to note that it has been over a month since I initially wrote Prana and they haven't provided a response to my question about what testing limits (ppm) they use now. I've sent them a couple reminder emails but nothing. Booo.

I wrote them back seeking clarification on their testing. The response was that they test to ensure the product is 5 ppm or under. So far no trouble with the product but I hate to see these companies drop the outside certification.
