My understanding is that ancient grains that are wheat-related are still to be avoided by all of us with gluten sensitivity. These include Einkorn, Emmer, Spelt and Kamut.- adult

After reading all this scientific research info., it is interesting and I am impressed with the research thus far although I must confess that with some of that info. my eyes were glazing over. :-). One positive thing I can say at this point, I can buy gluten free pizza's in the grocery store that aren't bad.- adult

Making Wheat Safe for People with Celiac Disease: A New Genetic Breakthrough
Yes, there would need to be years of strict control in the cultivation of these GMO products in dedicated fields to prevent that from happening. It would take time to implement and get to the point where it was reliable.- alpha-gliadins
