  1. Love Red Robin. I have been at locations from coast to coast never had a problem. I just order a burger on a plate no bun and enjoy!
  2. Well I just got back from Garlic Jims in Redmond. I thought the tasting was today (woops) it's tommorow. Turns out they had gluten-free pizza available. That pizza is great!! I am going back tommorow for a free sample! The only drawback I could see was that it was expensive. But after being gluten-free for a couple of years now I am getting used to paying...
  3. Love the alice springs chicken! We eat there all the time and have become regulars. The owner ordered Redbridge beer for us. It is a real treat to eat out and feel safe when ordering. Our last visit we had a waitress with Celiacs.
  4. Ate there at Virginia Beach while on vacation last year. Hamburger with no bun. No side effects but the food was not very good. Our son had been on a submarine for 6 months and this was his first real meal. We were all very disappointed.
  5. My wife went down there this week and got me all kinds of good stuff. Apple cinnamon muffins, apple & coconut cream pie, lemon square, cheese bread, and veggie bread (tastes like pizza??, yum). They have the bread thing down! It is the best bread I have had since going gluten free. Unfortunately they were out of sandwich bread. It is a long trip so in...
  6. I am glad you liked it. I went a year without a beer and was very happy to have Redbridge. They even have it at our local Outback. Nothing like a steak and a beer!
  7. I am on my third 6 pack with no problems. I was just happy to have a reasonably priced beer that I could get locally.
  8. I finally got some Bards tale from Portland last week and it was great. Had not had a beer since last June. I am very excited to try the new beer from Anhauser Busch. Even though I am a repulican
  9. We have tried almost all of Mona's products including the french bread and they are great. www.madebymona.com
  10. I am so glad I am not the only (ex) Bud Light drinker. There is also a gluten free beer that Widmer Brothers out of Portland Oregon are working on. Only available at the brewery for now. Have not had a chance to drive down there and try it but I will soon and report back as a former non-beer-snob. I can't wait to get my hands on some New Grist. Haven't found...
  11. Thanks for the tip. Went to Da Vinci's today and there stuff was really good. The owner of the shop was there to give out samples and answer questions, very nice lady and a lot of fun.
  12. I have only been gluten free since late June but I have been tempted many times. I don't have real bad reaction symptems so the urge to cheat is always there. Maybe next year for my birthday.
  13. I am a from Washington but I just learned that Widmer Brewery in Portland is brewing a gluten free beer! It is called Widmer Hooligan Pale Ale. As for as I know it is only available at the brewery for now. I am ready for a road trip!
  14. As far as mixing flour goes there is a substitute flour mix my wife gets from Mona's Gluten Free. There is also really good mixes for bread & other things. So far everything we have tried from there has been great. She has a great website & will ship anywhere. We are lucky enough to be close so we can go to the store. Good Luck! Mark...

    ARCHIVED Where Do You Eat?

For a quick bite, Wendy's for chili & a baked potato. If you have some time Outback & P.F. Changs have gluten-free menu's. I am also new at this but I LOVE to eat out. I have been to both of these places & have had very good meals & good service. I always tip well & tell the manager I am there because of the gluten-free menu ( I did not...
  17. I totally understand! I was diagnosed in June and have never in my life wanted a pizza so bad. I have allready had lots of substitutions including gluten-free pizza crust but it is not the same it is just going to take some time to adjust. This forum is great for info an all sorts of things. I don't post very much but I am doing a lot of reading. Good...

    ARCHIVED Fast Food?

I am new at this but I have been to Wendy's for chili & a baked potato. It was good and I didn't have a reaction. Fast food places have great websites as far as nutrional info and ingredient lists. I really am going to miss hamburgers. gluten-free bread/buns just are not the same.
  19. I am brand new at this, both the forum & the disease. My wife and I went to PF Changs last weekend and it was great! Our bartender handed us our gluten-free menu and asked "who has Celiacs?" It was a huge relief I was really worried about eating out. They were helpful and nice and I didn't have a reaction. And the lettuce wraps were great!
