  1. My problem is that I live ina household where everyone else eats glutenand lots of it. So with me being in this situation I should probably get my own? What about plastic containers and stuff? Is it just the cooking that is the danger? Thanks for the reply! This might be a weird quetsion, but what about microvawe ovens? Are they safe to share with...
  2. I wonder if there are any toothpasts or dental flosses that have gluten in them/on them? Or all they all safe? Also, does anyone know of any dill pickles that are gluten free? Thanks!
  3. A woman with Celiac deseas told me to get new frying pans and stuff if they have Teflon. She sais that if gluten had been used in it it can have gotten cooked into it. I have read that it is safe to use the same pots and pans. What is the right thing to do? Thanks!
  4. It had some yellow stuff on it. We didn't ask for extra butter. I am lactos intolerant too but never get heart burn from lactos. They kept it uncovered and just scooped out the stuff. It didn't seem very "safe". I dunno. I know corn is safe, it was if it was common that they have stuff on the corn. Hmm.. I know they sell other stuff too ther that might...
  5. I am guessing the Popcorn one can buy at the movie theatres are bad? Probably has "natural flavorings" on them or something. I just wanted to know if anyone knew for sure. I seem to have become sick after I ate them.
  6. Thanks for the replies! (Darn, my favorite shampoo has gluten in it )
  7. Out of curiousity, do you know why it is necessary to avoid them? When it isn't anything you actually eat.
  8. I have read some places that one is supposed to avoid shampoo and stuff that has gluten in them. Is that only for them with an allergy or does it go for intolerance too? Thanks!
  9. I gained weight out of the blue last summer. I never understood why because I never changed the way I ate or excersised. Could have been gluten intolerance too then. I still have symptoms left. It isn't all gone, but slowly getting better one by one. Something I realized today too is that I can actually think better. I have heard there is a difference...
  10. Thanks for the tips! Much appreciated! I'll check them out. I think I have seen that Gluten Free for Dummies book.
  11. My gosh! I had no idea charcoals could have gluten in them. The things you learn. (That can explain things for me actually. I have felt weird after eating grilled hamburger meat. I couldn't get why. Now I know why.) My problem is that we actually live with my husband's family right now. There are bread crums and yellow cheese everywhere. ...
  12. I have felt such a big difference and the fact that I had so many symptoms...Well it made me feel like "this is it!!" when I read about it and stopped eating Gluten. I still have doubts some days. The recovery has been slow. But if you have such a nasty heartburn as I used to have (it used to make me sweat and I got sores in my throat) and nothing anyone...
  13. Hello and thank you all for the warm welcome! AndreaB: Yep, Washington is the closest state. CarlaB; They don't have any of the places you mentioned up here. I was looking at the Outback gluten free menu yesterday for the first time. I am a little nervous about eating out still. I feel like I have gotten "cross contaminated" so easily...
  14. I have had problems with hunger like that too. But I had it before AND after I stopped with Gluten. The last year before I stopped it got really bad with the hunger. It seems like it has gotten a little bit better lately. I have been gluten free since early april. I know wthat the stomach can "feel hungry" if it is unhappy in general. It's like the brain...
  15. Hello! I just wanted to say hello. I have been lurking around here for a couple of months and became a member yesterday. I have had LOTS of problems with my stomach the last 4 years. Pain, gas, constant diarrhea, nausea and 24/7 heartburn that wouldn't go away even on double dose of Protonix and other additional acid reducer. I started reading about Gluten...
