  1. Hello, I know that maltase is not malt, but I saw an article here on this forum saying that it is common for the maltase in digestive enzymes to be made from barley that's what made me call the manufacturer. It would have been nice to know if the final product doesn't have it at all or what the acceptable limit is as you say. Since I don't know I stopped...
  2. One of the ingredients in my Enzyscience critical digestion enzyme is Maltase (the label says contain no: egg, dairy, preservatives, salt, sucrose, soy, wheat, yeast, nuts, corn, gluten, casein, potato, artificial colors or flavors), I called the company to know the source of it and they told me exactly like this "Barley is used but due to our purification...
  3. Hello, Has anyone tried it? will you recommend?
  4. I just found this about black seed "cure for celiac", makes me wonder http://www.greenide.com/black-seed-cure-for-coeliac/ and this too: https://www.naturments.com/blog/benefits-of-black-seed-oil-to-boost-immunity-studies/
  5. Hi, I'm a little confused about the salmon, what did you mean "even wild caught salmon may have red dye made with gluten"? they dye the salmon after they catch them? thank you.
  6. I know that milk is one of the gluten cross-reactive foods. I'm also lactose intolerant. My problem is that I want to get squigle toothpaste, but they only have two choices, one with bovine lactoferrin and the other one with fluoride, which I don't want to get. I would really like to get this toothpaste because is not only gluten free but is also corn free...
  7. Hi Christina, one of the ingredients in squiggle is glycerin from vegetable oil, do you know if it comes from corn?
  8. The link is not working, is orgain organic protein powder gluten-free?
  9. Hi Posterboy, thank you. The only high carb food in my diet is a piece of sweet potato. I've been taking (as per my naturopath doctor recommendation) betaine HCl+pepsin since December 1 but she also told me to take the famotidine if the GERD is bad which has been everyday lately but it doesn't help much. I also do daily guided meditation. I started my gluten...
  10. Thanks Scott, since I wasn't sure I ended up getting the CVS brand. It has different inactive ingredients, although I'm concern for one of them because I'm lactose intolerant: "lactose monohydrate" and after reading the article you just posted about the little girl not getting better because of the dairy, I'm even more worried now.
  11. I know, I'm praying that I don't need the use of PPIs again, I tried omeprazole for 3 months and it made me more sick, this was before being diagnosed. Auch, you probably didn't need to take it for so long, but you don't have it any more right?
  12. i know, it is a H2 blocker, but the famotidine I was taking before had gluten, that's why I said that it happened to me too.
  13. Same thing happened to me with the one I was taking before, the one I'm taking now is the CVS version of famotidine, different inactive ingredients. I think is OK. For 18 years? was that before or after diagnose?
  14. Hi Trents, I'm taking famotidine, it helps a little. Did you have the same issue? Did the GERD or reflux go away after a while?
  15. Yeah, I'm hoping the same too. I never had Gerd/acid reflux until I started having symptoms of celiac disease. I wish there was somebody who had the same issues with GERD or acid reflux and could tell us if they got rid of those once the celiac disease was no longer active. My GERD symptoms are horrible, pain, burning, indigestion. It's really bad.
  16. Thank you James, I'm hoping that the gluten-free diet will make it go away. You made a lot of progress in 6 months with your levels dropping to 11.
  17. Hi GINAGF, can you please post a picture of the front of the box, I need to buy the same one, thank you.
  18. Hi James, is gaviscon gluten free? is it helping you with the GERD? How long can you take it for? I also have a bad case of gerd, just started a gluten-free diet, thank you.
  19. Hi everyone, since I really don't have much experience identifying gluten in medicine yet, I really need your help here, I'm gonna start taking famotidine, I contacted the pharmacy that manufactures it (Alembic) and they emailed me back this: "Thank you for your call and inquiry about Famotidine Tablet received at Alembic Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Each famotidine...
  20. Will this work for a person just diagnosed with celiac disease and being on a gluten-free diet for a month now? I would like to know if I can use this to help me know if I am doing everything right.
  21. Thank you Scott, yes I do have celiac disease, just diagnosed. I just started the gluten-free diet but I got myself thinking What about my medicine cabinet? what should I keep in it that I would normally keep but this time gluten-free? like what people normally keeps, but now must be gluten-free like for occasional sore throat/cough, stomach pain, gas, fever...
  22. Hello everybody, just wanted to know what gluten free medications should I have in case of stomach pain, gas, fever, etc. Thank you very much.
