    ARCHIVED Coffee

did you buy the walnuts in bulk? If so there is a possibility of cross contamination ( not cleaning out the bins from previous foods, using scoops for more than one item)
  3. I sometimes take flax seed oil and that seems to help alot too

  6. this happens to me too. After being on the gluten-free diet (2 months now) it has improved slightly...but not much. It's usually happens about an hour or two after a bm and i feel really bloated again. It's a really uncomfortable feeling...like i'll only feel bloated on my right side...or vice versa. I hope it goes away soon!
  7. when I began the gluten-free diet two months ago, i was two weeks late for my normally regular period. Then I had a period again about three weeks later. Today I started again! Its only been two weeks since my last one started? Does this have anything to do with the gluten-free diet? Ive NEVER had anything like this happen!
  8. It seems as if since when I went gluten free 7 weeks ago that my hair has been growing faster. Is this possible? I did have some hair loss since having digestive problems 2 years ago and It seemed like my hair was growing very slowly. Did anyone else notice this change once going gluten-free? just curious....
  9. Is enterolab totally accurate? I haven't gotten tested by it yet and I was wondering about it's accuracy. Also, this is a totally diff. subject but yesterday I ate some "Enjoy life" gluten-free, soy free, milk free, nut free cookies and about 30 minutes later I had INTENSE gas(which I still currently have). Does anyone know what could be the cause...

    ARCHIVED Turkey

ok everyone, The manager just called me back. He called lakeland where the turkey was originally from, and confirmed that there was NO gluten in the turkey. He apologized that I was given false information. The person who told me it did contain gluten seemed so confident that I did not second guess him. He told me it contained 2% gluten. I guess he was...

    ARCHIVED Turkey

It was just a frozen publix brand self basting turkey. After hearing what richard said about the laws, I had my doubts that the person I talked to on the phone was correct about the turkey containg gluten. I called again yesterday to see if maybe the person I spoke to before was mistaken, but the "manager" i needed to talk wasn't there. I'll try again...
  12. I have been gluten-free (glutened at least once I know of) for about a month. I am a waitress in a seafood joint and am CONSTANTLY around gluten..when i clear the plates, prepare the food...etc. There is always flour floating around the kitchen which I am in alot. Could this be why I am not seeing much improvement? I try to be as careful as possible....
  13. haha! i picture it to look something like nasty brown glue...i dont know why

I guess maybe i was glutened but i dont know where from. it was so bad i could barely get up and a bit after this started i got really bad gas and D the next morning. ARCHIVED "the Trigger"

my trigger (still not totally positive i have celiac-but pretty sure) was really weird but i have heard it can be a trigger. I started eating a healthy diet suddenly(before was eating really unhealthy). I introduced alot of grains into my diet and have been having severe digestive problems ever since. That was 2 years ago
  19. Ive had that feeling recently too. Its happened 3 times since ive been gluten-free (which about 1 month). I thought it might have been from not gettng enough Iron? but it's possible that it was from getting glutened because both times it happened i had severe gas.
  20. I have been on a gluten-free diet for 3 weeks now. Recently i have been feeling weak and have had alot of muscle and joint aches...like flu symptoms. I never had this before going gluten-free....could it be a vitamin deficiency?
