  1. I have to disagree with the statement about the Blood Type Diet being a fad. It's been around for over 10 years. It also allows dairy and wheat and other gluten grians such as rye, spelt, barley ect. depending on your blood type. So they didn't have their facts quite right. I do agree however that the gluten grains and dairy are not really good...
  2. I'd be running to the drugstore for a HPT if I were you
  3. Not sure if these have been mentioned or not but if you've been missing you Doritos Nacho Cheese chips the White Nacho Cheese flavor in the Doritos Natural line taste exactly the same (as I remeber them anyway, it's been a while ) and are gluten free.
  4. Another idea is to use a brownie crust. I use this recipe (halved and without the nuts) for a 9" pan. Open Original Shared Link Just sub your favorite flour mix and add 1/2 tsp of xanthan gum. I prebake it like I would a ghram crust and then proceed as usual. Makes lovely, rich and tasty crust.
  5. I have read differing opinions on this subject both here and in various books and online research I have done. Having to ingest gluten for a GI response makes sense to me. But non GI symptoms from possible absorption into the bloodstream also makes sense. It might not cause the villi damage, but is it not possible that is could cause other unpleasent "glutening...
  6. Here is a list that I have found that might be useful to you. I went through the list and wrote down the products that I use to keep in my purse for shopping trips. Open Original Shared Link This site has lots of recipes to get you started. Open Original Shared Link
  7. I only have one gluten free cookbook right now, but I plan to look into a few that have been mentioned in this thread. Mine is called Wheat-Free Recipes & Menus by Carol Fenster. It has some very tasty baked goods like banana bread, gingerbread, blueberry muffins, baking powder biscuts ect. There are several catagories, Breads, Pasta, Grains & Beans...
  8. Hello. First I want to say that I don't have an offical diagnosis of celiac. I went gluten free before I knew about celiac in an effort to help my terrible fatigue problem. I read that gluten intolerance could be a cause of fatigue so I decided to give the diet a try. I am happy to say it has worked wonders not only with the fatigue but has also lifted the...

I've been gluten free for two months now and have noticed a major improvement in my skin. Not as oily, more even skintone and much fewer breakouts. My hair has also improved, it's softer and not falling out as much as before. I use Burt's Bees Garden Tomato bar soap and toner. They are both about as natural as you can get and seem to work well for me...
  10. Maybe you could find a decorator that would be willing to come to your home and decorate your cake? I know several people that do cakes as a side job/ hobby that would be willing to do such a service. Just an idea As far as Birthday cakes go Cheesecake is the standard at our house. I make a brownie crust (converting the Hershey's recipe) it is beautiful...
  11. Thank you both, I will order a box of the Arrowhead Mills and see how they work.
  12. I've been searching websites for a rice flake cereal kind of like Special K. It needs to be unsweetened for use in my families favorite special occasion casserole. Has anyone found such a product? I have found some with berries, are the flakes sweetened? I'm thinking maybe I could just pick out the berries and use just the flakes if there is not a plain variety...
  13. I did a search for candidia symptoms and as Tom said pretty much all of your symptoms are on the list. As much as you hate the idea of the candidia diet it could be the answer you are searching for. Here is the symptom list I found. incapacitating fatigue concentration/focus problems short term memory painful joints muscle aches extreme tightness...
  14. Hello everyone. I found this message board a few weeks ago and have been doing lots of reading. I came across celiac when I was looking for something that might help my fatigue. I don't have an official diagnosis but the more I read the more I think this is what has been causing me so much trouble. I found the article on gallbladder disease and celiac...
