    Hi Lesley, welcome to the board.     I did not buy new pots and pans (stove top). . . mine are stainless steel and I just gave them a good scrub. I did by new cookie sheets and a cake pan (used aluminum foil until I got around to it). She does not need her own microwave . . . just make sure you clean yours well. I also bought her her own nonstick coated skillet since my other one was scratched...

    I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but two weeks back on gluten (after 5 months gluten free) most likely is not enough for an accurate Celiac biopsy. My daughter's doc said two months. That being said, I don't know why your symptoms weren't as bad the second week. If you have a (wheat?) allergy, the benedryl could have played a role. It wouldn...

    I have two friends that each have a daughter with both DS and Celiac. Both were diagnosed with Celiac around the age of 8 or 10 or so. Neither had outrageous symptoms(occassional tummy aches) or (more than typical DS) growth issues. We have a local DS clinic where the kids are evaluated on a regular basis (yearly?) for developmental and physical issues...
