  1. This is the one that came to my mind, too (before I saw HAK's response). I have a slightly different version . . . instead of "never stop to rest", we used "never let it rest". Good Luck.
  2. Perhaps she tired of him crowin' about his attributes . . . his ingrained cockiness was too much . . . she tired of him lumbering about and gave him the boot.
  3. Oh Yes!!!! We Must See!!! I went googling for Gaylord earlier but did not find him. Will he rival Mango's Mango?
  4. I'll take some morning glory cake or some of Susie's muskel relaxers . . . me back is killin' me. It's been a rough week. I bought a freezer chest. Hubby and I hauled in down to the basement. Unpackaged it. Found out that at some point in it's short life, it had been dropped (packaging was good, me thinks it happened at the factory). Hauled the freezer...
  5. Nooooo . . . that would be my maiden name. That's because we all cheat and vote more than once a day.
  6. We were totally ripped off. We were expecting about 6 inches of snow and a snow day. We got about 2 inches and a 2 hour delay since it was suppose to keep snowing and apparently, it has stopped. How anitclamatical.
  7. Well, when I first joined this forum, I promised my husband that I would not use the kids' names or our last name. I think he thinks someone might wade through 500 pages to pick out the clues and then drive across the country to take our kids . . . not really . . . but who knows . . . it all comes down to once it's out there, you can't take it back. I honestly...
  8. Hey, why are you pickin' on me? You never asked "tom" or "juliem" that!!! Oh. What about "~alex~" or nikki-uk"? Hmmmm. Take a bucket . . . or better yet, take your husband so he can hold your hair.
  9. Just to throw in a little more information to help muddy the decision making process . . . Will you be able to get some sort of doctor's diagnosis (whether Celiac or Gluten Intolerant) if you don't do the biopsy? This may be something you could get the answer to now. I think some doctors would - based on the blood test and a positive dietary response...
  10. My kids name all their stuff animals (& Webkinz if you know what those are) and they often pick names that "go with" the type of animal they are . . . the frog is named Hoppy, the Poodle is named Curly . . . you get the drift . . . I had to stop my daughter from naming the unicorn, Horny.
  11. Julie, take another look . . . on the page it takes you to, look to the right for a box with the title "Recent Blog Posts". Then click on the entry that says something like "AJ files - NOT sexy myspace pic"
  12. . . . and have pretty coloUred markes in which to make a beautiphul graph (or should that be graf?)
  13. Well Done, Amanda . . . No need to broadcast it to the world . . . like on a public forum or anything. Another phunny phrum Open Original Shared Link.
  14. Mine's hereditary. My great-grandmother used to hide things so the "Burglars" wouldn't get it. Then she wouldn't be able to find it later and assumed that the burglars did get it. My grandmother use to have to go and find her things for her (found her shoes in the dryer). One time, the burglars even stole her dentures!!!
  15. They may already think that . . . . . . I'm sure that experience has shown that you can't always trust what comes out of the mouths of kids. Last year, I had lunch with my daughter one day. I was sitting with 7 kindergarteners. I'm not sure how we got on the subject but I was telling them to do a good job of brushing their teeth and that when I was...
  16. I always used Kitchen Bouquet when I made beef gravy or stew. It supposedly has trace amounts of gluten per Clan Thompson. Does anyone know of an alternative product or a recipe for a browning & seasoning sauce like Kitchen Bouquet?
  17. Oh and my daughter's favorite . . . peanut butter on rice cakes. I send the peanut butter in a little container and she spreads it on herself at school.
  18. Get a good thermos/food jar to send hot lunches in. My kids love when I send (gluten-free) mac&cheese. Good for soups & casseroles. I'm going to do an experiment at home and see how a hot dog does. The key to a thermos is that you need to preheat it with near boiling water for about 5 minutes, then pour that out and add your hot lunch. I got...
  19. I'll only tell you the end part . . . I vote for choc chip, too. Night Sillies. Got a big day of shopping at Lowes tomorrow and layin' supplies for the big winter storm. Keep your fingers crossed for a snow day on Friday!
