    Two hour delay for the chidlens this morning . . . actually just one chid . . . Smack is home sick today. He started wif a bang yesterday and then just sort of . . . melted. By 8:00pm he was running a fever of 101. He's still sleeping which is good and bad . . . he needs it but probably won't be able to sleep tonight. Work is cancelled for me today. ...

    Well, I suited up and headed out wif me two useless chidlens armed wif shovels . . . the whining commenced immediately and no it twas not from me. After about 5 minutes I gave up and we walked to my friend's house (about 5 houses down) which in itself was no small feat. . . and borrowed their snow blower. OMG!!!! I would gladly turn over my first born ...

    Snow Day!!!!! . . . and Smack who normally rolls out of bed at about 7:00, moaning and complaining, was up at 6:30. Came downstairs already dressed and is talking nonstop . . . :areyoukiddingme?whoisthischildandwhathaveyoudonewithmyson?: . . . I was hopin' to go back to bed . . . . . . not gonna happen, now.

    Well . . . my 9 year old son's favourite food right now is mini corn dogs. I've got a recipe if interested. I make a batch and freeze - so you could make them ahead of time. . . . and I want to add that the homemade ones have been waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the store bought (not-necessarily gluten free even though it was labeled that way...

    Sounds good to me . . . I don't think I would layer though . . . I would just mix my pasta, sauce, meat and put it in a pan and put a cheese layer on top . . . but I'm kinda lazy that way . . .

    Damn!!!! I had one of those and sold it in my last yard sale . . . twas taking up too much room in me house and it didn't go wif me furniture . . . sold it for 20 bucks . . .     happy weekend, all!!! Have gone from congestion pain due to head full of snot concrete snot to a nose continuously running . . . too bad I get no aerobic benefit or Sven credit for that. Have I told you guys lately that I can't stand the principal in our school???!!!!!!!! More turmoil!!!!! Wish I could boycott it somehow.

    That's a great tip to share . . . I've always done that (although I use 3/4 butter, 1/4 shortening) and I do/did it because otherwise my cookies spread too much (even before gluten-free baking). Funny how you do somethings without even thinking anymore about why you are doing them.
