  1. I also had these types of problems. Numbness/tingling in my hands and feet, balance problems (walked into things and dropped things all the time), anxiety, blacking out when I would get up in the morning, etc. After several MRIs, catscans, and tests for my heart, I was always told repeatedly it was stress. Well, 6 months gluten free and it's all gone....
  2. The lettuce wraps are awesome. My husband and I also get Chang's spicy chicken and the ginger chicken and broccoli to share. Make sure they bring out the gluten free soy sauce...the stuff is fantastic. Enjoy!
  3. Anyone know safe brands of Apple Pie Filling and Onion Soup mix? I was at Wegman's today and couldn't find a gluten-free apple pie filling. I was disappointed they didn't have their own brand since that store usually makes life easier. Then, I needed onion soup mix for a gluten-free meatloaf recipe and Wegman's brand said it may contain wheat due to manufacturing...
  4. Hi All...wanted to share a positive restaurant experience at Arpeggio Restaurant in Spring House, PA. This is in Montgomery County (outside Philly) between Blue Bell and Upper Dublin. My coworkers picked it for an end of year luncheon and I emailed the restaurant ahead of time since I was more than a little concerned. I got a great response and ended up...
  5. Thanks so much!!!
  6. Hi. My mom wants to make her first gluten-free pie for me and bought the Gluten Free Pantry mix. It mix lists 10 tbs unsalted butter and 10 tbs butter flavored vegetable shortening. She's questioning whether you need both of these or if it's either or. I'm guessing it's both but I wanted to check with the experts? Anyone ever made this pie crust? Thanks...
  7. I want to make some soups to keep in the freezer. A lot of soups are thickened with flour and/or use noodles so I wasn't sure how some of my recipes would be if I made them gluten free. Anyone have a favorite gluten-free soup recipe? Thanks!
  8. Anybody know of a packaged taco seasoning mix that is gluten free, dairy free, and corn free? My mother in law is insisting on making tacos but I'm gluten free and my nephew has severe milk and corn allergies. I'll make my own if necessary but packaged would be easier. Thanks!!
  9. Thanks for your response! Yes, I was gluten-free before the biopsy and did a month long gluten challenge. I was really sick by the end of the month but there's no way to know if it was long enough. I also had bloodwork that was negative but I was gluten free at that time so it wasn't accurate. But no, I haven't been tested just for gluten intolerance...
  10. I just got my biopsy results and there's no evidence of celiac disease. But, after having done a gluten challenge, I know that gluten is poison for me and will definitely maintain a gluten free diet. That said, while I'm happy the biopsy was negative, I'd still like some kind of proof that I'm gluten intolerant other than the diet itself. Am...
  11. Hi Everyone, I have been going through the process of getting diagnosed over the past few months and have found this site to be such a great resource. This is my first time posting and I'm hoping that someone can help. I started eating gluten free about 4 months ago. Being gluten-free made such a difference and I felt great. My primary doc did the...
