  1. Thanks so much! I have always thought broth was bad and it would make me sick. I though it just naturally had gluten or something....not sure why I have always though that!
  2. I have noticed on Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts that you buy at the grocery store that it lists "chicken broth" as an ingredient. For me, chicken broth usually always has gluten in it. Is it safe for us in general to eat the chicken, or if the broth did have wheat would they have to put that as one of the ingredients? I am just wondering if the...
  3. for me....I definitely can't have shampoo/conditioner's with wheat in them. My hair sheds really bad if they have gluten and my scalp itches really really bad. Be careful of consuming gluten b/c you don't get sick. Even if you don't feel like your having a reaction it can still be doing damage to your body. There are a lot of long term effects of eating...
  4. I am totally freaking out. I realized the seriousness of this disease and cross contamination this weekend when I found out I was still being "glutened" by my shampoo/conditioner and I needed to check the labels on EVERYTHING, not just what I eat. So does that mean if I come across crumbs on my desk at work dropped from someone walking by, I can get sick...
  5. I crave pizza often, and it has been really hard for not having Pizza Hut as it is my faovorite. I have to say though that "Chebe" is a new close second as my favorite, and not just because it's gluten free and I have to. I make it all the time for my family and friends and they LOVE it!!! You can order it at the Gluten free mall, and check out all...
  6. Yah, I think my "doctor" (if you can call him that) was an IDIOT! Who knew nothing about celiac disease and just thought I needed to know I had it, but it wouldn't hurt me to eat gluten. I do read all of the ingredients, such as the hershey's sticks, and just a side note, most of the Hershey products are gluten free. But of course, you always have to...
  7. For those interested...I have never had a problem with the CC at Taco Bell. They are always great to accommodate my needs. For example, on Saturday I requested they use a new glove to make my steak fiesta bowl. I feel like it's hard to find fast food places with choices that are gluten free. For example, KFC only has two items, the potato salad and the coleslaw...
  8. Taco Bell's Steak Fiest Bowl is DELICIOUS!!! And is gluten free if you don't get the Jalepino sauce. I add Sour Cream and Guacamole and it is my favorite meal. I eat it atleast once a week. Taco Bell lists their gluten free items on the website and actually have quite a few choices.
  9. Taco Johns...... I call a local restaurant this weekend and asked about ingredients. If you have them fry the potato ole's in a seperate fryer ( the manager said they would do this), than they are gluten free, and the seasoning. Also, the chicken they use for the chicken soft tacos is gluten free. You would have to bring your own corn tortilla though b...
  10. I LOVE WW!!! I have lost 30 pounds in the last 5-6 mos and I believe that my celiac disease is a blessing. I think that it aids in my weight loss because I don't have the temptations of fast food, chips, etc. that someone w/out celiac is subject to. I currently went down on my point allowance from 24 to 22 and I thought it would be really hard but it's not...
  11. I recently read that Catwalk by Tigi, the Curls Rock product line was gluten free. I went to my salon to purchase this product as I recently learned that Matrix Curl Life has wheat in it. I was surprised to see "wheat amino acid" listed as an ingredient. Does anyone know what amino acids are and if this ingredient is unsafe for someone with Celiac Disease...
