  1. My mother was pregnant with twins 14 years ago and she had an iv line in for 6 months of it due to her severe morning sickness so that nutrients would get to the babies. After miscarrying my own set of twins in February then finding out it was becauseof Celiac Disease (diagnosed 1 month ago), I am really concerned with this pregnancy (just found out today...
  2. I was told I couldn't get pregnant at 26 years old. I'm now almost 30 and lost twins in February, after feeling low about "what I did wrong" I found out I had Celiac. (actually there where three sacs and two babes) I was told that they died when it was time for them to live off the placenta because the celiac disease depleated the nourishment they needed...

  6. I'm planning on going to the Rock fest if I can manage on finding my way through St. Paul!-I come from a hick town with no stop lilghts so whenever I have to travel to St. Paul or Mpls. I get alittle nervous!! I have been eating the Tapioca Bread-I have to toast it for it to resemble normal bread at all and the stuff stinks like its old! Not to mention...
  7. I've had the deviated septum correction surgery....it's well worth it. I felt no pain after the procedure. The only thing was that they put a long splint up your nose to help during healing. They stitch in in but you can't feel it. I can breath so much better than I ever could. When after a week I went in to have a post-op appt., they removed the splint...
  8. I'm from here. I am actually noticing there are alot of people here that have Celiac and aren't hard to find. There is a Gluten Free Food Fair in St. Paul on Oct. 6th!
  9. I agree, the less "replacements"you buy, the cheaper. I have been shopping like this now for 3 weeks and do alot at Cub Foods for cerea, noodles, and milk in their organic section and will get pretzels or cookies just to tide me over in a chocolate/sweets frenzy. I would invest in a bread machine and the cost of that will go way down. There is a variety...
  10. Hello all, it's great to see so many from Minnesota...I'm from Winsted, MN which is about one hour west of the t.c. I've heard of the Mad Woman Bakery as well as Cooqi's but haven't been there yet. In Minnetonka there is the Lakewinds Store that I have found alot at. I also found a place near Cokato, MN. I work in Wayzata so I can do most of my shopping...
  11. I also am a Celiac with Lactose intolerance. I knew I was lactose intolerant before I knew I was a Celiac. It is slightly more difficult to find meals that are dairy and Gluten free but their out there. I buy dairy free "kinda butter, and Lactaid milk is the best....there is also rice milk, almond milk, etc. have fun and try all of them and find what...
  12. I work at a dental office with a general dentist and a TMJ specialist(temporal mandibular joint) I see this everyday. THere are several different options and treatments. I wouldn't exactly blame Celiac for the grinding as there are so many people that do it with out being a Celiac. Most people are unaware of it until they see their dentist complaining...
  13. I have ear ringing and buzzing from "white noise" the quieter the room is the louder it is for me. I sleep with a fan on. The breeze keeps down the sweating and temp differences and the noise of it lulls me to sleep and gets rid of the ringing. T.v. helps little because I don't fall into a deep sleep-whatever is on t.v. becomes part of my dreams and I...
  14. I've had the same symptoms and diagnosis-today I learned it wasn't my gallbladder but Celiac disease-I got excited because now there's a chance to live a day without pain or dizziness or sleeplessness followed by days of sleep. The hardest thing for me today was going to the grocery store and trying not to cry in public while trying to search for anything...
  15. I have gotten sick after eating anything with gluten or dairy now....I end up with painful cramps and a long trip to the bathroom followed by complete body sweats and eventually passing out due to my body not being able to take the pain. I know when I'm getting sick because the sweats come on. I've so far been able to conquer the passing out by putting...
