I thought I'd share a very positive experience that my family and I have had with Domino's Pizza located in Leesburg, Virgina (NOVA). Some history first -- when I first learned about Domino's "gluten free" pizza crust -- I called the location closest to us (in Ashburn, VA) and grilled them with the usual questions. Do you use a special cooking/baking sheet...

ARCHIVED Just A Warning Concerning gluten-free Pizza
Truleesmom replied to Marc49's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Just tried Venice Bakery's gluten free pizza dough! It is amazing! So amazing, that I had to call the company just to confirm that I wasn't accidentally sent their gluten containing pizza crusts. They assured me it was indeed gluten free. I cannot express how wonderful this crust is!!! And fairly affordable compared to other gluten free crusts that don... -
ARCHIVED Where's The Google Search!?!
Truleesmom replied to Truleesmom's topic in Board/Forum Technical Help
Thank you. Is that a recent change? The Google search used to always be there whenever I first would pull up the forum? Now it seems I have to take extra steps to get there. -
Seems like something has changed with the format on the forum -- there used to be a Google search field and now I can't find it anywhere! All I can find is a small search box at the top right. Anytime I search for ANYTHING in that field -- nothing ever comes up. Always comes back "no results". Please help! Seems like I remember the Google search box...

ARCHIVED Need Food Suggestions For 10 Year Old'S Slumber Party!
Truleesmom posted a topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
My daughter will be having her first slumber party for her 10th birthday soon and I have no idea what to make for food! I'm good with snacks -- but would love some ideas for dinner. I'm not able to have the party at my house (we'll be at a kid's musuem) and therefore will not have access to an oven - only a microwave and a fridge. I thought I could just... -
ARCHIVED 3 Musketeers
Truleesmom posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Just called the Mars company and spoke with an actual human being to confirm the gluten free status on 3 Musketeers. It IS gluten free. Their website states so and this person confirmed it. I told her that the recorded voice message when you call the number from the back of the candy bar does NOT list 3 Musketeers as being gluten free. She said she had... -
ARCHIVED Keep Contacting Those Manufacturers
Truleesmom replied to missy'smom's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Yes -- PLEASE tell us which products you found at Costco that were labeled gluten free! Thanks! -
ARCHIVED Zojirushi And Betterbatter?
Truleesmom posted a topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Does anyone have any program settings using a Zojirushi BBXX20 and using BetterBatter flour mix? I'm just looking for settings for a regular sandwich bread. I've been in contact with them via email -- but they haven't been the most helpful, which surprised me because I read so many positive things about them here. Under the recipes on their website, there... -
ARCHIVED So Delicious Coconut Milk?
Truleesmom replied to KarenFe's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Would LOVE to know how you make buttermilk from it -- do you just add vinegar?? -
ARCHIVED Rice Dream Ads!
Truleesmom posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I just saw the Rice Dream ad here on the forum (it's advertising a recipe for Rice Dream cupcakes) -- so I thought I'd look into Rice Dream again thinking that since they're advertising here on this site, that maybe they're actually TRULY gluten free now. Doesn't appear that way! Very aggravating that they're advertising here!!! I wonder if we could talk... -
ARCHIVED So Delicious Coconut Milk?
Truleesmom replied to KarenFe's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I've gotten their milk at Whole Foods. I LOVE their yogurt and their ice cream too! -
ARCHIVED Jules Shepard.. Has Anyone Ever Heard Of Her Flour?
Truleesmom replied to Jamie's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I bought a bag of her flour at Whole Foods and I love it for muffins!!! She has a banana blueberry muffin recipe that is so delicious! I've also tried her beer bread recipe, (using gluten-free beer of course) and that turned out really good. But for just regular sandwich bread -- it misses the mark. Seems like it's missing something. I've made it two... -
ARCHIVED Log Cabin Syup Now Gluten Free!
Truleesmom replied to Truleesmom's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Thanks for catching that Carrotcake! I missed that one. Ironically my kids LOVE the pure maple -- it's just so expensive and they go through it like wildfire -- I get a huge one at Costco! I grew up on Log Cabin -- so I have missed it tremendously!!! The maple is hard to get used to once you're hooked on that corn syrup junk! Have to check... -
ARCHIVED Log Cabin Syup Now Gluten Free!
Truleesmom posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Just wanted to let everyone know that I just got off the phone with Pinnacle Foods Group -- the company that makes Log Cabin and all Log Cabin syrups are now gluten free! I called because I wanted to check on their Country Kitchen brand, which I have been searching for since going gluten free a year ago and finally found it. They told me that ALL Log Cabin... -
ARCHIVED Gluten Free Pizza At Zpizza - Northern Virgina!
Truleesmom replied to Truleesmom's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
A tip on reheating -- everyone probably already knows this but anyway -- I like to reheat pizza in a frying pan, especially Zpizza pizza because their crust is so nice and thin. It comes out so light and crispy, better I think even than fresh out of their oven, since they use a special gluten-free pan and the pizza doesn't get to actually touch the pizza... -
ARCHIVED Gluten Free Pizza At Zpizza - Northern Virgina!
Truleesmom replied to Truleesmom's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
Thanks for the tip! I looked at Pizza Fusion's website (great sounding company!) but the only location they have in VA right now is in Richmond, which is unfortunately about 3 hours away. Hopefully they'll be opening more closer to me! -
ARCHIVED Annalise Roberts In The Bread Machine!
Truleesmom replied to Truleesmom's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
The only packaged mix that I've used in my machine is the Pamela's -- my favorite until I tasted this "from scratch" one!!! I always use the basic regular cycle on the Zoji for Pamela's too. Like I said -- I was truly shocked that A.R. recipe came out so well on the basic preset cycle -- I am so excited to get her new cookbook and be able to get a regular... -
ARCHIVED Annalise Roberts In The Bread Machine!
Truleesmom posted a topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I purchased Annalise Roberts' Gluten-Free Baking Classics a while back and have loved everything that I've made from it -- but I have stuck to the cakes and cookies becasue I am intimidated by baking bread without using my bread machine. Well last night I thought I'd just try her Basic Sandwich Bread recipe in my Zojirushi. I didn't have high expectations... -
ARCHIVED Gluten Free Pizza At Zpizza - Northern Virgina!

Good thinking! I will do the same! If we all did -- maybe they'd rethink the prices just a bit! Wishful thinking I know -- but it's worth a shot! -
ARCHIVED Gluten Free Pizza At Zpizza - Northern Virgina!
Truleesmom replied to Truleesmom's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
It was very expensive - but I thought well worth it! I had the Provence -- was very tasty!! My daughter had the sausage and cheese and she loved it. My non-Celiac husband and non-Celiac oldest daughter split a large (half ZBQ/half pepperoni). Our bill was almost $40!! No drinks or anything else -- 40 bucks!!! Yikes! For that reason alone, we won... -
ARCHIVED Gluten Free Pizza At Zpizza - Northern Virgina!
Truleesmom posted a topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
Just found out that several of the zpizzas near me (South Riding and Haymarket) offer gluten-free pizza!!! I am so excited - cannot wait to try it! I used to love their pizza before going gluten-free. I'm sure some of the other locations also offer it -- those are the only two that I checked on though. -
I've read here that many people have eaten McDonald's sausage patty and not had a reaction. But I read on McD's website the ingredients for the patty list caramel color. Isn't caramel coloring questionable? And how would one find out if that particular caramel color is safe? Thanks!

Okay -- here's another question. When she was first tested for Celiac her numbers were this: normal IGA of 61 and tissue transglutaminase antibody IgA more than 100. (This was confirmed with the biopsy.) She had many other tests run at the same time, (blood, urine, and fecal) and one the results were "negative food RAST testing for milk, soy, egg, beet...
