  1. I know this thread is a couple years old, but for any others interested this was in the news today: Hot dog! Coors Field offers gluten-free food Open Original Shared Link
  2. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  3. It's been years since you posted this, but I was hoping you'd come back with an update. I have CVID as well . I had the scopes done and samples taken and they claimed celiac disease. I changed my diet and zero improvement for over a year, in fact I got worse. In that time I researched and found us CVID patients typically have something that even under...
  4. Ok, I haven't tried this, but a friend that lives over there noticed it and say a sign they have gluten free. I found out back in Jan, sorry I am so slow to let you know. We haven't tried it yet, but hope to soon, here is their website. Open Original Shared Link I hope someone can try it out and report back.

    ARCHIVED Garlic Jim's

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but there is one in Highlands Ranch, CO. We got a coupon from them. I guess they have been there a year, but just recently started doing the gluten-free at this location. We tried them out and it was wonderful. Had the Ultimate minus the mushrooms, would have been about $20 if it weren't for the 25% off coupon. For those...
  6. Early on in my gluten-free diet I was very label conscious and still am, but I got lazy. My fiance is also very good about double checking labels. Anyway, we found this great local salsa because we love mexican food that appeared to be gluten-free. We kept buying ti and buying it. Then one day we were at the store and I think they were sold out or we just...
  7. About midway through 2008, which was about 8 months into my gluten-free diet I had a freaking meltdown at the grocery store. My fiance had to contain me. I was at my wits end, all teh gluten-free bread was sold out at whole foods, all the frozen dinners that are gluten-free that I will eat were sold out. I am in competition with a few other people in my are...
  8. Hi Tica - I do not know of any in Breckenridge per se. I know this question came up last Winter/Spring as well so do a search. Here is a link to a previous thread with one restaurant idea: https://www.celiac.com/gluten-free/index.php?showtopic=40300 I will let you know, in Silverthorne (you would need a car to get there) there is a place called...
  9. Follow up: I love this bread, I also frequent the Udi's Bread Bistro in Stapleton. They can make any of their sandwiches with the gluten free bread and they often have a couple loaves in stock if you swing by there. I tend to go trhough about two loaves a week! With all the old gluten-free bread I would be hard pressed to get through a loaf in a month. ...
  10. I do not have an immune system, which sounds odd. My intestines DID NOT heal with a gluten free diet, the gluten-free diet made no difference in my symptoms, in fact I got worse. I do sadly have a good understanding of what steroids do to the body. Thankfully it was a short term thing.
  11. I too was raised that a Doctors answer was THE answer. It took my own determination to understand that Doctors don't know it all, even the specialists. Does it mean they are accountable for not picking up on something? Maybe, you could argue it both ways for days probably. If we come up with a medical system that will scrutinize every breath a Dr takes no...
  12. First off, I'm sorry to hear you have had a rough four years, however there are some problems with your post: As I recall, and I will quote your post some more, your GP sent you to a GI doc, which is what they should do. They are a general practitioner. If the condition is something they cannot confidently diagnose or feel that you can be better...
  13. Values are relevant to the person the sample is taken from. The "normal" ranges are based on averages anyway. Some folks are normally high, some are normally low. That being said, the best person to answer this question for you is your doctor. Otherwise, some simple searching it appears around 80 - 350 is "normal".
  14. I'm not sure what tests your docs have run since your diagnosis, but they should be checking for bacteria in the small bowel. Also, when you don't have the big D does the stool float or sink. I hate talking about that stuff, but it is a fact of life I guess. Anyway, you can spend a week collecting samples for your docs at their requests, get a small bowel...
  15. I know this is an old thread and I thought I would chime in. I know this involves your young child so it may not be the same... I have CVID, and they say I have celiac. Currently from research on my own and some new doctors we are working on disproving the celiac disease thing (for me) as patients with CVID can have something that almost mimics celiac...
  16. Pretty much all the high end steak houses at each of the casinos can do gluten free, Nine Fine Irishmen at New York New York has a gluten free menu as of this Spring. There are a couple other LV threads from earlier this year that you may want to cross check to see if they can be added to your list. Was hoping to come back out there this fall, but hoe...
  17. Today I had Fettuccini Alfredo, it had good flavor, but the rice noodles were a bit mushy. It was not bad.
  18. Ok, so it was called Lemon Basil Chicken, I was close All in all, pretty good. It has a lot of sodium, but also a lot of protein which I know can be a challenge for us. It was more filling than the Glutino Entrees (Open Original Shared Link) but not as filling as Organic Bistros Entrees (Open Original Shared Link). The flavor was good, no overkill...
  19. I was at whole foods last night buying my frozen lunches when I spied something totally new. The brand name is Gluten Free Cafe Open Original Shared Link I bought a Fettuccine Alfredo and a Basis Lemon Chicken (I think). I brought the chicken one for lunch, which I will go eat in about 30 mins and report back. I will try to take a picture of the...
  20. I am not a big fan of Bobs' we use Pamelas and have been quite happy. The mixing idea is good too. I find the Bob's to be too "heavy" and starchy.
  21. King Soopers which is part of Kroeger's here in Colorado carries Redbridge. If you go on the bards tale website they have a store locator. Open Original Shared Link
  22. For those relatively new to the Gluten Free world you may already be aware of Udi's, they are hugely popular with catering food for events, corporations, and have always made great artisan breads and treats. Recently, through my other post on King Soopers, I learned that Udi's took their original bakery and converted it to a dedicated Gluten Free bakery...
  23. omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgo mgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg I just got some Udi's white sandwich bread, OMG. It is real bread, it is so good. I am saved. I am, as I type this, eating an Udi's cinnamon roll! It's like a real cinnamon roll! I'm starting...
  24. In regard to Super Target, keep in mind I am a guy, getting in and out of Target is not a problem for me. And I stand corrected, the Target prices are accurate, but I was JUST at whole foods and they are 2.99 a box for the waffles. I have only seen the Vans Wheat Free waffles at Super Target not at a regular Target.
  25. Thanks Kathy, that does remind me, in the freezer, there was a section for Udi's bread, but it was empty. I was actually excited to see that. Udi's used to cater a lot of lunches at a former employer of mine. I always loved their bread in my pre-diagnosis days.
