  1. I posted a few days ago regarding my concern for dating right now and I just dont think im ready. I was introduced to a girl a few weeks ago and didnt think much of her the first time, but she was out with me and my friends saturday night and she looked really good so i became intrigued. We talked a bit and seem to have a lot in common but i just left...
  2. yeah Im so careful I really dont think its an issue..i tilt my head so water doesnt drip down my face havent gotten my test results back, hopefully this week so i can start medication
  3. also...Ive been using a natural hair gel with wheat protein for years and have never had any problems
  4. Im extremely careful and never get any in my mouth...are there any risks with using it it on the skin? can the gluten enter your body? i would imagine the protein is too large to be absorbed thru the pores
  5. theres a shampoo i really like cause it helps w/ my slightly thinning hair...but it does contain hydrolyzed wheat protein. i dont get topical reactions to gluten, but wanted to make sure this shampoo is safe..as long as i dont swallow it
  6. My food/digestive issues have impacted my life so much that I feel like it will be impossible for me to ever have a normal datng life again. I have become so finicky and obsessive with what I eat, how I eat, when I eat and where I eat...to the point where no sane woman will want to be with someone like me. Before I got sick I was so chipper and carefree...
  7. So I contacted the restaurant and notified management that the waitress blatantly neglected my allergy and they apologized profusely, addressed this issue to their staff and even suspended the waitress for 1 week..I felt kinda bad but at the same time not really since what she did was highly inappropriate Last night had a nice dinner at Maggiano's with...
  8. Thanks- I really did the best I could! Tonight we had a group trip to Universal Studios and I ate before hand. They all ate pizza in front of me and it was driving me crazy, but not eating was not a big deal tonight. Hard to believe I'm a New Yorker and can never eat pizza again...forgot about it till tonight
  9. I spoke too soon- That meal I had at the restaurant had gluten in it - I am bloated today and my stools were floating, which is what happens when I get gluten in my system. So much for my success story
  10. If someone tossed a roll at me I would open a can of whip ass Well in the long run we will all be better off than them anyway. I was perfectly content eating a healthy meal last night---everything else on the table was coated in flour and fried and drenched in sauce that probly had MSG and god knows what else F em ;-)
  11. Thankfully everything turned out ok, but I had another frustrating scenario On another business trip w/ colleagues...I suggested Maggiano's and everyone was ok with it. however when we got there it was a 1 hr wait and the director of the company didnt want to stick around. As everyone walked out the door i took my boss aside and told him maggianos was...
  12. I was under the impression the Whole Foods hot bar is not safe? That use to be my salvation but I gave it up and now cook my own food in my hotel. You guys eat at the WF hot bar? seriously?
  13. Thank you my friend! Yes, no mention of parasites- LOL.. if i tell them celiac, parasites, IBS and food allergies they will think i'm a f'n nut job
  14. Hi folks! I will be in Orlando 6 days this week for a tradeshow and every night will be dinner with colleagues. Whats the best way to handle this? I wont be in a position to select all the restaurants, but maybe 1 or 2...i know there's a Maggiano's which should be ok but not sure what else. Again im trying to be discreet about my situation Also im...
  15. no havent started yet- still waiting on the follow up labs..so probly another week. Right now just building myself up so I will be able to better tolerate the meds
  16. oh jeez really? I didnt know that- ugh!
  17. I posted a few days ago on my company dinner- again thankfully I was able to have safe food thanks to the kind and diligent staff. Of course I got the raised eyebrows when I got my own salad and food that looked nothing like what everyone else was eating, but at least i didnt go to bed sick...unlike everyone else at the table who had heartburn and was belching...
  18. they do- but saying "amen to that" is more a christian/catholic thing
  19. I am jewish but I must say Amen to that
  20. Thankfully ordering and eating at Bravo Cucina Italiana went smoothly, although the fish tasted gritty and the vegetables had an aftertaste of kitchen sink water. A few people asked why I had a special meal prepared and I casually mentioned my food allergies. At that point there was dead silence at my end of the table and 6 people were starting at me while...
  21. no clue - i think i got the blasto when i was in Miami. was also probly susceptible due to all the other intestinal problems
  22. Yeah thats another good theory. Right when i went 100% gluten free I got hit with the parasites so i barely even had any time to recover. im still amazed how clean my insides are...biopsies all negative and no abnormalities in my colon. Basic blood work is good too ..just baffles me
  23. starting meds next week
  24. granted i have some parasites & gastritis that I have to deal with, which might be causing some of my problems..but as time goes on I find I am able to tolerate less and less. for the longest time it was just dairy..as soon as i cut out gluten i started noticing problems with other foods. I used to eat quinoa all the time and now it lays on me, cant...
