  1. So ive been having some parasites show up on my stool tests for the past several months. First time there was one, 2nd time there were 3 and now there are 5. My doctor and I are stumped. I have no idea where im getting these bugs and if the test is actually detecting anything that that can be considered infectious, since i dont really have the classic...
  2. My doc wants me to take Halflytely for the colonoscopy prep. Its a 2 part protocol and the first part requires taking Biscodyl, which is a stimulant laxative. Unfortunately the pills contain lactose and i probly shouldnt take since i am severely intolerant. would i be able to supplement with a different laxative and is the stimulant laxative even necessary...
  3. Anyone try the precooked brown rice from Trader Joes? I use it when i travel but never occured to me that it might have gluten..im eating some now actually
  4. So then how do folks like us survive if its everywhere? Are we all doomed even if we are on what we all consider a gluten free diet?
  5. Someone on here mentioned that every single non gluten or "gluten-free" grain still has gluten in it, even if its a small amount from CC. Is this true? If thats the case then what are we supposed to eat? Ive been eating Natures Path and erewhon cereals for years and now theres a chance that they might still have gluten? So now even if i go to a restaurant...
  6. how much longer do i have to wait though? theres no diversity in my diet and i have various nutritional deficiencies as a result. Also I think the companies that are certified gluten-free can be trusted...they have dedicated facilities and batch test

  8. I was thinking that too but not sure- thats the most frustrating thing with all of this...I dont know if its a food/gluten reaction that causes my bowel changes or if its something else. I didnt experience any other symptoms after eating the oats...didnt even have bloating and actually felt pretty good the past few days.

  12. can celiacs tolerate oats as long as they are gluten free? ive been eating Eco-Planet hot cereal for the past week. it says they are certified gluten free but my stools have been very loose and floating since i started eating it. could there be a connection? is it maybe just the fiber content?

  14. Got my company sales meeting in a few weeks. Lunch will be brought in and there will be group dinners at night..restaurants unspecified. For lunch I probly wont eat or just bring some protein bars, but what if the dinners are at restaurants that are not celiac friendly? I will be sitting at a large table with all of my co-workers and dont wanna seem weird...

  21. Thanks Erin- There a few other ingredients I would have to leave out...apples, banana, cinnamon and coconut. If theres a way to use the following ingredients id be happy as a clam...i know some bars are baked and others are just shaped and refrigerated so not sure what works best: flax meal pumpkin seeds rice syrup almond butter pea or hemp protein...
