  1. Me too! I just ate a pint of Sharon's chocolate sorbet...OMG - so good. When I make a batch of Trader Joe's gluten free brownies I finish it in 2 days, so I don't make it any more. Nancy
  2. Yes, sorry, it is short for Chronic Fatigue syndrome!
  3. I know!! I think of you all every single day and say to myself " It is amazing and lucky I found a group of women whose issues are so similar to mine...like finding a needle in a haystack. We're gonna figure it out, we will". A couple of months ago, I joined the sulfur group on yahoo after you mentioned that I may have a sulfur sensitivity...
  4. Carla- Interesting update. He sounds like such a great doctor. My LLMD, Dr. R, who I saw Tuesday, took me off ABX also. He says it is ridiculous how sick (stomach symptoms) I got (I sometimes felt faint before and after a BM..sorry so graphic) and my stomach needs to rest. I interpreted many of my OTHER NON HERX symptoms as out of control inflammation...
  5. Me too. You know a while ago people thought the world was FLAT....and anyone who said differently was thought to be crazy ...and sometime ago, people thought that Celiac was the reason for all of their woes (me included)... and not so long ago witches were burned at the stake... I think that enzymes are the reason why I didn't get...
  6. I couldn't agree more. I have had issues all of my life- you've all seen my signature, but then came the vestibular neuritis, dizziness, ear pain, pressure, popping, head pressure and fullness, loss of hearing, sensory overload, and after that came the dabilitating fatigue. I told my Mom that I have a new theory. That all of my life I have had just...
  7. Hi all- I have been really sick so haven't posted. Unfortunately for me, these sulfation/methylation things don't sink in for me. I don't think I am a stupid person, but no matter how many times I read this stuff, I do not understand it. I am part of the yahoo group "sulfur stories" and most of the time I feel like I am reading a different language...
  8. Carla and all I am thinking of doing a version of Cowden protocol as I am having an awful time on ABX. I have not been able to leave the house for a whole week! My stomach is in constant disarray - I neen to slightly cut down on the ABX for now, I see Dr. R on Tuesday and I still have three weeks until Dr. H. I also got candida back - got the sore...
  9. Hi- I took an activated B-complex and got palpitations - but this was before i started treating the lyme. April - what conglomeration of vitamins did you take. Rachel- Your explanation in quotes explains why I did not do well on the methyl B12 shots, right, since I could not convert it. That quote about the four pathways...where did you find...
  10. Paula- I hope you have (had) a great "girls" day. Those are my favorite kind!!! Nancy
  11. I have them too. They appear in new places and then go away over time. I have a few right now. Nancy
  12. Yes, I take the T4 and T3 (thyroid hormone) orally, so the liver has to process it. I had actually asked my Naturopath if I could get a thryroid hormone cream so that the liver would not have to process it. I take progesterone cream...but she would really have to research it because she has never seen it. I know that my liver is blocked but I have yet...
  13. Has anyone tried Dr. Jernigan's protocol? Heard good things about it on healingwell.com Nancy
  14. Kassandra- Thanks for the offer...nice of you to be thinking of others, with all you are going through, but I made a mistake, I thought you also saw an ART person and I confused your Dr. H with Carla's Dr. H, so I assumed you were on the east coast. Sorry! Just want to add, even though I don't know you as well as the others, that I think you are...
  15. April- I wondered about that...but i don't know. I get thyroid hormone toxicity...it's not an allergic reaction, it's like an overdose and only when I take T3. I know of a place that does NAET. I will call and ask them. Thanks for the idea- Nancy (nanjkay)
  16. I was thinking...how long did it take you to type this with one finger??? This doctor sounds amazing by the way. It sounds like you found exactly what you needed to find in this doctor. He seems so specialized in the exact areas you need. What kind of doctor is he? When he figures out how to fix the problem, will you let us know?!!! I share many...
  17. I am a nerd too. Do you like scifi? If you do, I have a bunch of scifi recommendations! I like almost all scifi's but some really good ones that not a lot of people have seen are Code 46, Sunshine, Gattaca and Serenity. Code 46 is a little out there, but I loved it. Nancy
  18. You all crack me up. This exchange above, could be in a movie, it is that good!!! I can't believe you guys type so well with less then 10 fingers..amazing. BTW, as a part time thing, I write a movie recommendation article for a local paper, so I watch up to 10 movies a week depending on when the article is due. I just watched Mad Money - it was really...
  19. Thanks Rachel- This helps but I still have this lurking fear about the horrible side effects I got when trying to "detox". That was before i started treating the Lyme and while I was taking B12 shots - so maybe it would be different now. I was giving myself a methylation problem from too many B12 shots. And no, I have not found an ART person...I have...
  20. UGGHHH!!! This is what confuses the crap out of me. You would think that the people who need glutathione the most could tolerate it, but no, that is not the case. Maybe you have to get a whole lot more mercury out and let the body readjust, before you/we could ever tolerate glutathione. So much to think about. I still have the mercury filling....
  21. I am half serious about it. It feels too overwhelming of an endeavor to do alone...especially at this stage of the game for me, but if we divided the researching, it would be easier, no? And then once over there we could all talk about what we're experiencing, if we are scared, pleased, etc. Yes, I was got very stressed out over there. :blink...
  22. Are you happy with the results? I mentioned before that I can't tolerate any form of glutathione either. I did an amino acid panel with Doctor's Data and I think that would be a great test to cross reference with the OAT test. I was able to figure out, for the first time, about my glutathione problem because my cysteine levels were off the charts. So...
  23. Twenty years ago I did the backpacking thing after i graduated from undergrad and I remember Germany as the most beautiful (other than Paris) especially Bavaria. It is so green, lush and gorgeous. Too bad we can't get a caravan of people to go to Germany. Share the info gathering (how will we eat gluten-free?) and expenses...share rooms, etc. I...
  24. Most things were unhelpful and nearly drove me to hurting them or myself, but, some told me things that later on made some sense. Like when I asked a Celiac specialist if the mere fact that I have so many diseases was evidence that I had Celiac, and he said "no". At the time, I thought...he's clueless. But he was right, the Lyme and co-infections is why...
  25. Kassandra- Bob's Red Mill has a gluten-free oatmeal grown on its own fields without wheat and cut in its own factory. They test batches for gluten. Most oatmeals are contaminated. Be careful though, I had some after not really having a "grain" in many months, and the oatmeal combined with the ABX has reeked havoc on my stomach. It is not pretty...
