  1. These are all great suggestions and all things that my non gluten free kids would love, but he will not eat veggies, fresh fruit, meats, soups, stews, quesadillas, rice......lets just say he pretty much won't eat any of the foods suggested. I guess I should have mentioned that before I made you all respond! I would like to try the Gillians french bread...
  2. I desperately need some real kid friendly recipes that are actually healthy. My family eats pretty healthy most of the time, but it's so hard with a picky gluten free 5 year old! I'm running out of things to feed him. I also need some suggestions for packing his lunch because even though we have used a variety of things he is getting tired of our variety...
  3. You can also make Fruity Pebbles treats with regular marshmallows. When we discovered that FP's are gluten-free we decided to make the treats and the kids absolutely loved them. They are also good with Cocoa Pebbles. This is my step son's favorite treat now!
  4. That's what I thought too, from what I have been told Kraft has to list in the ingredients if there is anything that may contain gluten, but I just wanted to be sure before I fed it to my step son. He is dying to eat it and, of course, I don't want to make him sick!

How do I change my password after I reset it?
  6. Does anyone know if the following is gluten-free. I know the cottage cheese is, but not sure if the fruit is. Listed in the ing. is modified food starch and I'm leery about that. It is a Kraft food. BREAKSTONE'S - COTTAGE CHEESE & TOPPING - COTTAGE DOUBLES STRAWBERRY LOWFAT
  7. My step son's school class is decorating sugar cookies for Thanksgiving, does anyone have a really good sugar cookie recipe to use? A really really good recipe??
  8. Thank you so much for that list noglugirl! That is so helpful. I had no idea that Fruity Pebbles were gluten free and my step son has been so deprived all these months. They are his favorite! When I sat that bowl of FP in front of him at breakfast that next morning I thought he was going to cry. I even made gluten-free Fruity Pebbles treats with marshmallows...
  9. Oh thanks guys. I guess that will have to do, I was just craving something with bananas NOW! My patience wears thin when it comes to sweets. I can't wait to try the banana bread recipe, I absolutely love it and zucchini bread and would hate to make it with wheat flour and eat it in front of my step son. How rude would that be? Thanks guys!
  10. I have some bananas that I need to use asap or will have to throw out. I wanted to make some gluten-free bread this evening but totally forgot to go to the store after school! Anyone have any ideas on what to do with my bananas that uses few ingredients? I have baking powder, sugar, corn starch, all that good stuff.....no xantham gum or gluten-free flour...

    ARCHIVED Fiber?

Any ideas on how to get extra fiber into my diet without adding lots of veggies? Is there some sort of gluten-free cereal or granola or fiber supplement?
  12. I have to say, I am very proud of him, he has not had any gluten all day, and for him that is pretty much a miracle! I tried to tell him that there are so so many things that he can still eat and it's not like he has to go without anything. Not to mention, he actually likes the gluten-free tapioca bread that my step son eats....so what's the big deal? ...
  13. My step son was diagnosed with celiac this past December, and we have been told that it can be hereditary. At that time we really didn't think my husband or anyone in his family could possibly have it because we figured it would have been diagnosed when they were younger, but we didn't know much about the disease at that time. We have since read many things...
