  1. Lisa, Wow! That's great you feel good enough to work again! Let us know how your appt goes. Carla, Ugh and Yay! At least now you know. Hope the kidlet feels better soon. RPM, Sorry. I don't know much about hyperT. Do you have your latest thyroid test results? Would you mind posting them here? Maybe I (or someone else) can see something...
  2. There could have been gluten in the seasoning for the rice or on the chicken. That's the only thing I could come up with.
  3. This is from the Elmer's website: Open Original Shared Link
  4. L Rocks!!!!! I just got a fax from her excusing me from jury duty. Was wondering how in the world I was going to juggle the protocol I'm on AND the court's schedule. I see the holistic MD on Monday. I'm so hoping that Dr H's office has gotten ahold of her with their recommendations (and follows them). If not, then I'll be dumping another doc. That...
  5. Pinkscooby and UrsaMajor, Thanks for your input. I was eating gluten at the time of the biopsy. At that point, I hadn't realized anything about food intolerances yet. Just thought my stomach was being obnoxious. I did an elimination diet back in October and that's when the intolerances were found. I've been avoiding gluten, corn, and dairy...
  6. Thanks! Confirmation is nice. To be honest, I've had to do all my own trailblazing with every doc I've seen so far, with the exception of the LLMD. I'm ready to let someone else do the driving for a change. I really didn't know what to think. My perception has been "off" lately and I wasn't sure if I was missing something glaringly obvious...
  7. Sort of, I guess. He never did run liver or pancreas panels. Those were done when I ended up in the ER, and those weren't even complete panels. Still, feel better just letting it go and handing it over to L and Dr H. One less doc on my list, one less thing to worry about. Also thinking about dumping the holistic MD and letting them deal with...
  8. I think you're right. Will let L and Dr H take care of it. They'll refer me to a GI if they think I need something like that. This guy has given up and, for at least right now, is more or less useless.
  9. Thanks! I posted it on Coping and over at LN. Don't know what to expect but, hopefully, someone can help me muddle through all this. I've had doubts about this guy from the beginning, but was hoping he could give me some answers anway. I mean, what GI has never heard the term "bazooka barf" before? Thanks. I really need the affirmation...
  10. Sorry in advance for this being so long. I really need feedback on my GI appt yesterday. I'm feeling very unsatisfied. Wondering if I'm right to feel this way or if I'm blowing things out of proportion. I don't trust my perceptions anymore. ******* A little background - Chronic abdominal pain in RUQ for 4 months now. It's not bad, but always...
  11. Andrea and Julie, Thanks for the sorrys anyway. I really don't know what to do. Think it would do any good if I posted this on the "coping with" board here or over at LN? I'd really like to know if my perceptions are off or what. Thanks again.
  12. Everyone, I really need feedback on my GI appt this afternoon. I'm feeling very unsatisfied. Wondering if I'm right to feel this way or if I'm blowing things out of proportion. Got the ejection fraction from the Hida scan. It was 68%. Ok, no problems there. I talked to him about the allergy testing. He was "amazed" that I tested so high for wheat...
  13. *sigh* I need to get a new GI doc.
  14. Rachel, Thanks for the links!
  15. You're right. Will get those results out to her tonight. I'm not sure if I'll ever get a conclusive answer as to whether it's leaky gut or lyme. Not really sure it matters. Either way, I'll be on a restricted diet for quite a while and (hopefully) it'll be resolved at some point. ----------------------- Ok, here's the run down via testing:...
  16. I haven't talked to the holistic MD yet, so I dont' know if they've contacted her about doing the partnership thing with my treatment. Think it would be a good idea to fax my results to L? They've given me a diet, which excludes the foods I have high reactions to and rotates the foods I have moderate reactions to. It doesn't take the candida diet...
  17. Andrea, Glad you're doing better! ------------ Isn't melted ice cream a milk shake?
  18. Back from Pincushion Monday. But wait! There's more! In addition to what I've already been tested for, I reacted to: almonds, coffee, garlic, green peas, tomatoes, green peppers, celery, sesame, garbanzo beans (chick peas), mushrooms, cabbage, strawberries, and spinach. Fortunately, my reactions to these weren't too bad. They're considered moderate...
  19. LOL! Not if you've ever had good homemade mac&cheese. My ex's Aunt used to make the BEST! 4 different kinds of cheese in it. Da-rool! I'm on my way, start cooking!
  20. Oh Yes! Real mac & cheese, not that silly boxed stuff.
  21. Donna, Congrats! Wonderful appointment! And no more mold. Bet that's a relief. Kass, My weaknesses are ice cream and melted cheese (not together). Would still consider slightly maiming someone for a grilled cheese sammich. And of course, when I stopped eating dairy, a Brewster's opened up 5 minutes away from our house. They has wonnerful...
  22. I actually get my chia seeds from the Holisic MD's office. There are quite a few websites where you can get them tho. And there isn't any difference in the benefits between "black" or "white" chia. They're both the same, even though some sites try to charge you more for the white ones.
  23. Thanks Paula! The reason I ask is because I was having some fairly heavy-duty symptoms of die off yesterday and then had a strawberry/avocado/chia seed smoothie last night (just water added and some stevia). Shortly thereafter, the die off symptoms went away. Thinking I "dosed" myself with either sugar or mold. I have some pau d'arco tea around...
  24. Hey All! Need to pick your collective brains again. Strawberries - some candida diets say they're ok in moderation. Some say no fruit... period. I thought strawberries were ok because of their anti-microbial properties and low sugar content. So what's up with this? Also, any ideas on hot beverages besides water or lemon water? I'm...
  25. Yay for not passing out!
