  1. This is also something that I've been wondering too. I was just about to post the same question! Does anyone know if their tests are the most accurate? Also, does anyone know if you can get your insurance to foot part of the bill?
  2. I've seen several other people on the forum talk about their tongue being white. Maybe those threads can help you. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Hope that helps.
  3. Making a list is a really good idea. I'll start using that. I think it might get her to understand a bit better. Thanks for the suggestion! I also realized that this post should go underneath "Coping With" section, so I'll post it there too. Sorry everyone, I'm new!
  4. Can someone could give me advice about living with a roommate who eats tons of gluten and not getting CC issues? I got a set of kitchen utensils and measuring cups for Christmas that are exclusively mine (aka never to touch gluten). I never use her toaster, but we do share pots, pans, plates, cups, forks/knives/spoons, etc. We share a microwave too....
  5. My eye sight has significantly improved since I went off gluten. I've been gluten free for a little over a half a year and my eye doctor said my vision has improved more than a whole point! I've gone from a 4.5 to somewhere around 3.5. He said he's never really seen someone with that big of an improvement in such a short time. I'm his first gluten...
  6. This is all recent news to me too, so I'm not sure what to do with it. Does anyone know of a list that states all of the ingredient names in beauty products that might contain gluten? I can't understand half of the ingredients listed on my shampoo, so I have no idea. I saw my conditioner actually said "wheat protein," so that's fairly easy to rule out...
  7. After suffering years from various symptoms, my doctor tested me for celiacs (although I don't know which test he used, something with blood) and a wheat allergy. Both came back negative, but he told me to try a gluten free diet. After going on one for two weeks, I felt amazingly better. He said that I probably have a "gluten sensitivity" or "gluten intolerance...
  8. Hi everyone! I've only been gluten-free for a few months and I'm having a hard time figuring out where to buy products. Luckly, I'm located in Los Angeles so I assume that I'm just not looking in the right places (I only know of Trader Joes and Whole Foods). But I'm unsure of where to buy rice flour, tapioca stratch, potato starch, xantham gum, etc...

    ARCHIVED Dyslexia?

I'm dyslexic, lactose intolerant, and recently diagnosed as gluten intolerant. Ironically, the only other person that I know that's also gluten intolerant is also dyslexic and lactose intolerant. Coincidence?!? As an adult living with dyslexia my entire life, I have found that people have lots of misconceptions about learning disabilities. Just because...
