  1. How will you know that you have out grown the milk sensitivity? Testing or trying dairy? It was lactose intolerance that I read about that went away once the intestines started to heal. May do a search on both of them. Yes, I do hope I can have dairy. That's got to be a tuffy. Hugs, Carol B
  2. I have had allergy testing on my back and was very allergic. However, this only shows inhalent allergies and not food which is totally different. Sounds like that is what you had. Have you done an elemination diet to see which foods bother you other than gluten? Also, have you had the test from enterolabs? I guess I'm not so bad. I'm almost 55 and still searching...
  3. Hi Nita. Again I want to mention enterolabs. Do a search. They have a lot of info on their site. The test does not need a doctors prescription so you pay out of pocket but maybe you could submit it to your insurance afterward. I ordered their most comprehensive test which is about 4 tests in one. They are including a milk test. Cost including shipping was...
  4. Hi Nita. Sorry to hear about all you've been through. I'm currently being tested for celiac disease. My father had chrons and my grandfather on my mothers side also died of colon cancer. Never heard of that blood test you had. I would do a search for enterolabs where for about half of what you paid for the blood test you can get a stool test that is supposedly...
  5. Thanks Mariann. I think I will print this out and take it to him. Hugs, Carol B
  6. I do have a couple of questions. The milk test from entero labs, is it for lactose intolerance or protien allergy? Also, I've read that many people with celiac disease have lactose intolerance. But then I've read that after the intestines start to heal on a gluten-free diet, they find that they can once again eat dairy. Has that been true for many here? Hugs...

    ARCHIVED Pregnant?

Well, I just found out that I may have celiac disease. When I was pregnant I did MUCH better than at other times in my life. I LOVED being pregnant (except for the 8 weeks of morning sickness I had with my first). That is puzzling to me except it may have been an hormonal thing. Are you already on a gluten-free diet? I'm not experienced enough to give you...
  8. Hi Mariann. Enterolabs told me that they had an influx of requests for their tests. More than usual I guess so it will be a week and a half probably before I get it. That's from the time I ordered it which was last Sunday night. As to the blood work this is what the paper says. Reticulin Antibody, IgA with Reflex to Titer/Reticulin Ab, IgA Screen. This...
  9. I would do a search for enterolabs. They have a VERY RELIABLE stool test to see if you are gluten intolerant. I am waiting for my test to come so I can find out for myself. Gluten intolerance (celiac disease) is a lot more common than most doctors think. Does any one in your family have intestinal problems? Anyways the stool test is the best. Keep us posted...
  10. I sent a post last night but then I couldn't find it this morning so I reposted. Now they are both missing. Anyways I had two blood tests done for gluten-free. I got a copy yesterday. The one was negative so they didn't even bother to run the other one. I'm waiting on enterolabs. I e-mailed them today and they told me they have had a huge influx of people...
  11. My doctor ordered to blood tests. The first one was negative so they didn't even bother to do the second one. Don't think he ordered this TTG or whatever that is. I experienced a let down at first being as how I was really hoping I'd found something at last. But I know that negative doesn't mean I don't have it so I'll wait. Still waiting for the stool test...
  12. My doctor ordered a couple of blood tests. I just got the results. The first test was negative so they didn't even run the second. I can post what they were if anyone is interested. anyways, there was an immediate let down. But then I knew about the stool test so I will wait till that gets done. Thought I'd let everyone know. Hugs, Carol B
  13. Thanks so much to both Taneil and Lisa. I started the diet last week at my doctors request. Well, as much as I know so far anways. That was before I knew you had to be on gluten for the blood test. The blood test was done prior to my starting. According to enterolabs they will still pick it up if you have been gluten free so I intend to stay this way unless...
  14. Correction. All of my doctors patients have an acidic BODY not stomache. I should ALWAYS reread what I write. LOL Hugs, Carol B
  15. Well I might as well give a brief history. Constipated from birth SEVERELY up until 20 years ago when I came down with IBS and since then I've been to you know where and back with the intestines. Weeks doubled over in tears wondering what I had done or eaten to cause such agony. I've found things that help but not completely and it comes back ever so often...
  16. Hi Taniel. I'm curious if you are currently on thyroid medication. I'm new here (not fully diagnosed yet). I thought I fit the picture of low thyroid from birth. However 6 grains of Armour along with hormones and adrenal support and I'm still sick. Recently found out that I may have celiac disease which explains alot. Wasn't tested for Hashis as I was told...
  17. Well, since I looked around the page long enough I think I finally found the reply to group button. :-). Thanks for the welcome and the links. I will definately check them out. Yes, it's been a long haul. By the time my kids were born I was dragging my self out of bed (nothing unusual) and collasping on the couch. I got to where I couldn't even stand and...
