  1. Bev!! Good stuff! Yeah Emily, I wondered what's happened too! Only ~ a page added in a week & a 1/2? That's not right I tell ya!! Nikki's back!! But no telling of Turkish tales? C'mon - throw us a bone. What was coolest or weirdest or anything-est thing about the trip? Still? Promises, promises . ...
  2. I say wash your hands and wash the apple. Doesn't matter what's on the fridge handle if you wash after touching it, right? While I believe I'm very sensitive to gluten, due to the severity of symptoms in '02 & '03, I really haven't been glutened enough since then to know. I eat in and believe I'm 100% gluten-free since March 15, '04. ...
  3. Hi Susie, (looks like I don't need to specify Susie-UK anymore) I used probably every anti-candida substance in existence, but none of the pharmaceutical anti-fungals. Had planned to, but my Naturopathic Dr (ND) said I wasn't healthy enough to take one at the time. (Summer '05) The ND started me on a combo anti-candida pill containing maybe a dozen...
  4. that was from just a clove? I thought it was the whole BULB! I put TWO cloves in my single serving salad dressing tonight. Can't deny it gets pretty garlicky but I love it. Had it hrs ago and feel like I still taste it a little. yum
  5. I think that was one of the books I read. I got most of my diet info by comparing & combining 5 books & a few websites. Too many sites are just touting whatever they're selling, but I'm positive that w/out a strict diet, all the pills, drops & powders can't make candida go away. (And vice-versa) So much contradiction on diets. Every source...
  6. Hi Ami, Nobody *here* sees *anything* as whiny - we're all just saying how it is. I sure hope u get to use garlic and fresh-squeezed lemon juice. I use one or both in almost everything I cook. And some things I don't cook - like the mouthwatering 5 ingred salad dressing I make most often. (5 if u count sea salt & fresh pepper!) I can barely...
  7. I spent far too much time in that condition. In my case it never was being glutened. It was always the candida & leaky-gut-induced intolerances. Your description was me every day, 'good' days and bad - some symptoms never give ya a break. Or at least not until you find and eliminate the food intolerances. Every day I feel fantastic ALL day. (9...
  8. Hi Ami, I've been out of town so I guess I'll have to read back some to catch up on a lot things here - no use in you retyping the answers to all my Qs. So sorry you're feeling so badly. There was a long time for me that I'd use the misnomer phrase "allergic to digestion" because I hadn't yet figured out all the foods beyond gluten that were doing me...
  9. I think "fit" in UK = "seizure" in US, right? Yikes! Hehehehe looks like "waffled" = "rambled"? Good word! (Your regret is quite unfounded btw)
  10. Oops Basilica av gone! I do very much like its look and have been inside multiple times. It doesn't seem as big from inside, tho it is grand. My fav is one in SF but I can't remember the name right now. I know how to get there!! Up Columbus then park by that triangle park - and you'd see the spires and towers well before u get there. Woohoo...
  11. Hmmm 1st guess maybe u hit a regular [add reply] button (after hitting
  12. You'd deny Billy the Kid Goat his protein!?? There's got to be SOMEthing analogous to cow's casein in goatmilk. But for some, it has no effect - similar to corn or rice 'gluten' not affecting the gluten-free. Bah I have to ride lightrail today to the festival. But it'll be great I bet! . . . . . . .1/2 hr l8r . . . . . SKA!!!!!!!!
  13. I've been off dairy for 3+ yrs I think, because of casein, and had heard quite the opposite about goat's milk (it being very different from cow) for so long and so often that I finally tried goat cheese. It's been a rousing success thus far! Is it possible the goat lactose is similar to cow, so then your allergist and my recent experience (and all...

  15. Absolutely I beat candida (well, maybe only 97% beat right now) while eating certain nuts, under certain conditions. In fact, having whF almond butter was a godsend as it often replaced actual sweets as my 'dessert'. So much conflicting diet info for candida, it's ridiculous. But 5 nut types were often said to be fine and they all were...
  16. Yes avatar!!! Tennis? Hmmm I'm not looking it up, but I did hit a tennis news site for mobile devices - 2 sec load time - and it confirmed that LAST week was the Pilot Pen. I think I deserve the pts for the original Q, which was "where did they play last wk?". :P (is 3 enough? Ya) I'm sure posting today!! Purposely staying in instead...
  17. If that means "to impress women and make other guys look unworthy of reproduction", then yes I agree. Moose, Bighorn Sheep, etc etc - the one alpha male gets ALL the action.
  18. Then get back to using it!!!! I'd like Marbles' input on this one.
  19. Hehe no no not ignored at all! Simply acknowledged and undisputed. If I'm being forced to comment on it, I'd have to say your phrasing is an understatement. Yes, even "perfectly capable". It's more than that. Capable implies having the means, if the will exists. The womanly "making men weak" is inherently unavoidable!! Y'all don't even have to TRY!!!!...
  20. Is this still about whether I could block Donna from some cookies? Or are we now both armed w/ Tasers . . .. Oh Carla Carla Carla . . . . . puh-LEEEEEZ! Have u forgotten I would google far slower than anyone who's on an actual pc? And of course, the parameters of any such face-off remain unset. I would propose a conference call or Instant...
  21. oh gimme a break!!!! He was like 70 yrs old and she was in her prime! (and at least I was alive when it happened. Kids born that yr probably could drive before you were born!) And I remember it well. Shall we have a tennis knowledge face-off?
  22. see . .. i don't get *that* either!
  23. I don't know how much more of this post I will reply to later, but THIS needed to be immediate. ARE YOU BLOODY INSANE!??????? In pursuit of chocolate, Donna could simply go to the Long's 4 doors over. Or the ^%@#%^#!* starbucks next door! Or the little cafe next to that! Fine . .. . . it's a bet then. Uhhhhhhh . .. how much...
  24. Good call. I was at WhF again last night, 9:45pm, wanting chicken, but couldn't bring myself to pay $8/lb. WTH??!! And there were 2 other kinds of boneless skinless chkn breast that cost MORE!! Wow I'm gonna miss a couple stores in Phx. One would regularly have all-natural locally-produced boneless skinless breasts for $1.88/lb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...
