  1. I just put in the best homemade bread recipe in my breadmaker. (Thread is in baking section) and I used Rice Dream milk. My son is allergic to casien too and the 1 qt size no refrigerated Rice Dream is gluten-free. Turned out yummy!! Used different flours but definetely the best gluten-free bread.
  2. Well i am crossing my fingers with my first ever loaf in my first bread machine! Thanks for all the tips! Had to bake longer, had different flours. Used Corn, buckwheat, rice, and tapioca. But best gluten-free bread I've ever tasted. I also bought a pamela's mix to try too.

  4. My son was on adhd drugs until his seizure right after Christmas. Did eeg & allergy testing and he's allergic to gluten/gladin, dairy, eggs, peanuts and beef. He has improved some but he is very defiant and we think that's because he's limited on his diet and he feels like he's lost control. Still new to this only a month and a half but he's off...

  7. Ok here goes.... My son has had an IEP for adhd, and I requested a 504 plan for the same but now that he has medical issues we are starting over.   8. After the conference today i feel better. We had an hour long conference because of numerous issues with our son. He has Adhd, had a seizure, at the least gluten allergy, social problems.... Anyways I was asking specific questions and the teacher said she can't disclose the other children's allergies, unless they openly tell the other kids in class...

  11. Grocery store discontinued our lunchmeat so i was reading ingredients and saw that Buddig deli cuts turkey, chicken, and ham lunchmeat are gluten-free. Listed at bottom of ingredient list. My boys haven't had a reaction, so just spreading the word...
  12. Our kids liked the apple cinnamon perky o's but their favorite (which they go through 2 boxes a week!!) is health valley corn crunch-ems. it's gluten-free chex. i found it at fred meyers.
  13. We talked with our 9 yr olds teacher (it's confrence time) and she told me the kids are doing better in class and more focused with the snacks removed! She lets the kids with diabeties and other valid reasons go and have a snack in the nurses office. as for the pop thing... i guess it's banned in all the school's in our school district, elementary...
  14. Wow! My nine yr old just found out he can't have gluten. Not sure if he celiac but he can't have any dairy, wheat, gluten, peanuts, and has to rotate beef. I read in another thread about IEP's and 504 plans for kids with celiacs. (School) Wish our boys could talk! Mine is doing alright, had the hardest time adjusting to the bread. GOOD LUCK...

They didn't even bother to ask, they just thought it had peanuts in it. Well my son has a peanut allergy!!!   16. Hi, new here but had to comment. My nine yr old has adhd & odd. At Christmas 2007 he had a seizure. Took him off adderal immed. Got eeg and allergy tested. eeg came back abnormal got mri tues allergic to all dairy (casien, whey) eggs gladin/gluten wheat mild allergy to peanuts (which i elimanated) and beef so far no other seizures...
