  1. Oh yes That was the beginning of what we now call grafitti, don't you know!.......and I did have a partner in crime. We couldn't understand what the big deal was.......we were drawing purty pictures......and the next rain would've washed it away.....but Noooo!.....we had to wash it all off. My creative expression was stifled.
  2. Yeah, my daughter is finally getting serious about removing all the gluten from her life, and that is one thing she still needs to deal with. What have you used instead?
  3. Me too! ....and welcome! If you want to lose that extra weight, it won't necessarily drop off by going gluten free. Don't automatically replace your bread, crackers, pasta, snacks, and goodies with gluten free alternatives. Actually, in the beginning, it is best to stick to plain meat, chicken, fish, fruits and veggies. This gives your body a better...
  4. POOPY COW, Ptaughmn!!! I know what it's like to want some kind of diagnosis, even if it's bad news, because you know something is wrong, and all you want is an answer. Don't let this setback keep you away......it's the best time to stay in touch with your friends........OK that didn't sound quite right. ANY time is the best time to stay in...
  5. ......Lisa slowiy raising her hand........when I was in HS, kids would even apologize for cussing around me ( totally not necessary), and my mom tried to find an alcoholic drink I'd like so I could be more social. ......was still a teenager, btw. I did get in trouble once in 5th grade for writing on the side of the school building with a dandelion ...
  6. This is what has become of Jess's infamous scream Ptaughm!!!!!...Now Sillyville is complete!......Let the party begin!!!!! Wow!!!.....perhaps we've all been spending too much time together..........we all think alike......hamburgers here also! BEAR {{{/uploads/emoticons/default_wub.png' alt=':wub...
  7. My DD and I would noodle around together when she was in HS. We played a duet for my in-law's anniversary party about 10 or so years ago......DD was in MS. We also played in a quartet for my niece's wedding a few years ago.....that was awesome! And then we played a duet at my son's wedding a couple years ago and I totally blew one song.......too much stress...
  8. Post count just rolled over! So far, the only phluid phenomenon is that I'll probably be sleeping with tissues up me nose tonight.
  9. You and me both! My 'Susie Homemaker' days are over! edit: No reference to you, Souczle! BTW Carla.....For some ridiculous reason I started reading this thread from the beginning and saw that you are a flautist.......me too. I haven't played in a couple of years, though.
  10. Yeah, my alter ego is spicy and covered in oil! (......didn't think I should hijack the other thread to continue this conversation!) BTW.......for those of you sitting there like this .......another new thread asking about fries, to which Peter made a comment about curly fries. I just couldn't resist clarifying that THIS curlyfry IS...
  11. Don't have too much to read.......here, I'll dust the cobwebs off for ya Glad to have you both back.......without enough sillies, I become Psilly-impaired. I haven't had my recommended daily allowance of POOPY COW!...<snoooort>...Ohhh-mah-gaawd!......teeeheee......:snicker:.....HARRUMPHH!!
  12. THIS Curlyfry IS gluten free!!!!!!
  13. I know you haven't been diagnosed celiac......neither have I. But I know I need to stay away from gluten. If you feel gluten is your problem, then there is NO cheating! You will keep getting sick if you do. Why don't you try Rice Chex that is labeled gluten-free. Do they have it where you are? I also don't drink soda right now, it bother's my stomach...
  14. You said you're working with the cafeteria staff, so I assume he is eating school-prepared lunches. I would pack his lunch for a while and see what happens.
  15. I would totally avoid it. The problem with flour is that it floats in the air. It's very likely you inhaled it. Also, the flour dust settles on everything in the kitchen....including you. Touch something, then touch your own food, and there you go.
  16. Perhaps he was going to buy a dozen or so doughnuts and was concerned that they might be out of bags and boxes, and there would be too many to carry in two hands...........
  17. This reminded me that after being gluten-free and then off of Prilosec, I did have a setback with the reflux.....once I cut out sugar I was fine.
  18. ROFL!!!!!!!!!! I did tumbleweeds?..........it's possible.....me wee brain has lost that file
  19. I am self diagnosed, and had been on Prilosec for many years. Now I no longer need it. I read a report once, don't remember where, in which a doctor stated that he felt everyone with reflux/GERD should be tested for celiac. That's not to say reflux causes celiac, but that reflux is a symptom of celiac.
  20. She shows them off to the whole world!.......well.....this world, anyway.
  21. Ummmmm......Gian-knit.......zactly what are you doing during full moons?????? .......Should I be skert, living so close to you 'n' all?.....Was that you I heard howling? Well then you shouldn't be wearin them daisy dukes!.....even if your cans are mighty fine.
  22. I like to read a lot, but just for amusement.......nothing profound or life-changing. I've read some of the ones from Oprah's book club, but.....yawn However, there was one book that I thoroughly enjoyed and have read several times..... Nobody Nowhere, by Donna Williams, It's an autobiography of an autistic woman. Maybe it's just because I...
