    I've noticed the gluten free breads that are mentioned as being very good have some type of dairy product in them, either milk or dry milk. Are there any good breads that does not have milk in them? BamBam

    Debbie nibbles: You have described exactly how I feel when I eat gluten, I just can't do anything, everything is upsetting, and I too was happy, laughing and singing. I hope to get back to that point again to. I have ingested gluten several times this past month, so will take awhile to get back to myself. The sooner the better! My husband really suffers...

    I am a self-diagnosed Celiac - and I do feel better when I do not eat wheat/gluten. I pretty much refuse to eat wheat to get a diagnosis. I just happened to come upon this today, didn't remember having it done. I am going to continue gluten free, regardless of this test. BamBam

    In 1999 me records state that I had "a endomyoseal antibody per gluten enteropathy which was negative." Does anyone know what this means, the doctor is no longer here. bambam

    Can I have whey protein concentrate if I am lactose intolerant? I eat Yoplait yogurt every once in awhile, it doesn't seem to bother me, but was just wondering. bambam

    Thanks for asking. Sometimes it is good to check other products besides food items for wheat ingredients because some items can actually get into your mouth such as shampoo, or makeups. Also, some people get a rash (DH) if they use products with wheat ingredients. That can also include pet food. I am a slob in the shower, I get soap and shampoo everywhere...

    Which fabric softener sheets are gluten free? I use Tide detergent and know that is alright, but wasn't sure about fabric softeners. bambam

    Celiac/gluten intolerance is just not known enough to become very public. As you know, there are no ads on the radio or t.v. regarding celiac/gluten intolerance, because there is no money to be made in the medical world from celiac.     Ya know, I've spent a small fortune in "Gluten Free" cookbooks in the past couple years, only to learn the fact that most any "cooking" (meaning lunch or supper) recipe can be converted to gluten free just by making sure your ingredients are gluten free (unless you are making something with dough).     I've been reading a lot of the threads in this area the "pre-diagnosis, testing and symptoms." I get so fed up with so many of us going to doctors and they are not listening. I feel the reason for this is - if they diagnosis "gluten intolerance or celiac" there is nothing else they can do for us really. There is no magic pill or test or testing or ongoing...
