  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Thank you for your suggestions. I'll try a simpler diet and I'll get tested for other things once I get my insurance if it still persists. As of for right now I guess I'll have to continue to ride it out!
  3. I have been gluten free for I believe 9-10 months, truly absolutely gluten free for about 4. I was doing awesome until I ate something that had tomato soup in it...let's just say I had a bad night that night. Otherwise I don't believe I've messed up. Anyway since going gluten-free, my digestive system has been amazingly awesome...i never had this experience...
  4. Yeah I tried but I don't think she fully understood.
  5. I ate at applebee's today and I had a bacon cheeseburger without a bun and fries. I got sick about 2 hours later. Do the fries have gluten?
  6. I'm coming from a college student stand point and I feel that all the cookbooks out there are just "too" much for me. They call for the weirdest ingredients and there are a lot of ingredients. I'm a poor student who can barely afford the basics. I would like to see some easier type of recipes in where I can find the ingredients and doesn't take 4 hours...
  7. Thank you and appreciate your comment and I do understand... I guess it's frustrating because as much as it's new to them, it's as new to me. I know they'll come around eventually! Thank you!
  8. Anyone know of yummy gluten free hard cider???
  9. Hey I know what you mean...I am/was in the same situation. I'd say it's hard to stay completely gluten free when you don't have an actual diagnosis of celiac because then you tell yourself I can have this one cookie just this time. But if you do happen to have celiac you are damaging your body with that one cookie. Now it's all up to you. If you feel...
  10. are you lactose intolerant that you can't eat cheese?
  11. Ah it's thursday and that means tomorrow is Friday which is my day off! Woot! I love fridays...but then friday's mean that saturday and sunday are coming. I work saturday and sundays and my boss is a jerk. I think he likes to pick on me and my crew. Not cool and I'm getting fed up with it. We have a meeting tomorrow and if he brings up one more little...
  12. I noticed at first that the doctors thought I was just being crazy. I'd list of my symptoms and they would say that's not important or roll their eyes. They made me feel like I was making a deal out of nothing. They always told me that it could be anything, that these symptoms were pointless. Then I went to school and kept going to the doctor here and...
  13. I found my gassyiness to subside when I went gluten free and I notice it comes back when I eat gluten and when I'm under a lot of stress. I've been dealing with gas since forever and it's finally nice to go on a date with someone and not be gassy! I would recommend gluten free because now I'm free of a lot of stuff and definitely notice some improvement...
  14. and how did you survive being lactose intolerant. I'm glad I can have dairy (as of now) because I love cheese!
  15. Where did you go to school? But hello fellow cheesehead! Ha ha it's a shame that the packer's aren't doing as well as I hope this season. Hopefully they get it together, like they did in the first few games!
  16. No one at all?
  17. I get really gassy. Actually that was the one symptom that made me go to the doctor to get it fixed. I used to burp every 2 minutes. Ha Ha I thought I would go into the world record with longest burping spree or the most burps. My stomach/intestines get really noisy and I bloat!. Just make sure you don't lay down after you eat. That's a no no. Could...
  18. Oh my...I didn't even think about Thanksgiving!! It'll be my first too! I'm going to miss stuffing! Maybe I'll bring my cornish hen or maybe grandma will make a separate one just for me...
  19. Thank you all for your suggestions...I'll definitely look them up!
  20. I've been real frustrated lately. This past weekend I ate all gluten. 4 pieces of pizza and 2 chalupas. I know, I know I should have had any but I was at work and needed to eat or I would have passed out. I figured as long I was glutening myself, why not go all out. Well that was more than a week ago and I'm still paying for it today. Dumb. Well...
  21. Oooh...I hope mine doesn't last for that long...I was happy having normal poopies, I've even been constipated sometimes haha that's a first in my life! I definitely don't want to go back because this little reminder is not pleasant.
  22. You could be right. I think we're all frustrated because we haven't found a black/white answer yet for me. My mom hating seeing me sick all the time and always blamed it on stress. Can stress worsen it? But I know she wants it to be temporary because she sees how hard it is for me to eat and find things to eat. Ever since I went to college my whole family...
  23. As of right now...gluten is my only allergy...that I know of...
  24. Hello everybody! I'm somewhat new, but not totally new to gluten free. But I've been searching and searching for a good cookbook for me. I'm in college, not a good cook, on the go a lot, need to pack lunches and I'm on a tight budget. It seems that all the cookbooks out there have such...may I say extravagant recipes. Like recipes I would never use nor...
  25. Eww...gluten free beer is nasty.
