  1. I just started the gluten-free diet not to long ago, but I was wondering what kinds of vitamin I should be on/looking for if I'm generally just on the gluten free diet. Thanks.
  2. I know right...well I never had to worry about gluten until about a week ago and 4 days ago I had a carmello (i looked on the ingredients and no signs of gluten) but it must be hidden because boy was I on the toilet all day and it sucked cuz i was at work....I'm still paying for it. I believe it's my worst gluten attack yet, if gluten's my problem but all...
  3. hello! My friends call me a freeze baby. I'm always the cold one out of the group. It summer here and I have 4 comforters on my bed and I fall asleep usually with sweatpants( we also don't have air conditioning)...people think I'm weird...well i guess that's abnormal. My body temp is normally around 97.7 so it's lower than average. But I also tend to...
  4. I just started and I actually just went through something kind of like that and I don't know if it's gluten related. I've been gluten free for about a week and 1/2 (whoo!) and one night I wanted ramen (oopsies) and I didn't react at all that day. The next day I didn't feel to well and my bowel movement was looser, but not diarrheas, like it broke apart...
  5. Hola! I've had eczema my whole life, since I was a baby and I would say in the last couple years I would get this other rash. It would be random little bumps that were hard but kind of looked like a pimple. There aren't that many when I get them, but they are extremely itchy. I catch myself itching them and then the next day I'd get a couple more. When...
  6. With 21 years of experience with eczema...chlorine is our enemy...so that could be a possible reason too...but also with 21 years of experience, being gluten free has cleared it up pretty good!
  7. I had combination of both. I didn't go everyday but I noticed within about 5 days attempting a gluten-free diet, I was going once a day and they were solid.
  8. They didn't give me any explanation! I don't get how they could've tested me for celiac if they didn't take a biopsy from my intestines. Unless I'm wrong, but they might've missed it, especially if it was the beginning part of the disease right? And my blood tests...I read somewhere that it takes about 2 weeks to read them. I don't know if that's right...
  9. I did have an endoscopy and a colonoscopy and they did take a biopsy but I don't know from where. All they told me was that I had a lot of inflammation. I thought it was from my stomach lining but I could be totally wrong. And thank you all...I don't feel as crazy knowing there are other people like me...
  10. I've been burping for 2 years now and in Dec 06 I couldn't go 5 minutes without burping. Surprisingly enough I don't know how to burp on my own. My burping has definitely decreased but I still get pretty gassy. I was wondering how long it took people who had problems with burping/gas who went gluten-free for it to go away?
  11. I'm new to this gluten problem and diet, but from the research I've done (and it's been a lot) but some people don't develop celiac until later in life or at least enough damage to notice it. I think it depends on each person. She may have the genes for them but perhaps it hasn't kicked in or done enough damage. But she also might have gluten intolerance...
  12. Hi, I'm new to this whole thing. I've been having a bunch of issues for about 2 years and I have been feeling generally ill pretty much my whole life. I've had test after test done and everything is negative or looks "fine." I just want to vent how frustrated I've been for the past two years. Doctors always think they know everything. They always tell...
  13. Thank you all for your advice. It can get super frustrating at times. It was more than just a diet change but a lifestyle. I mean I never cooked, being on this diet as short as I have, I probably cooked more than I have in my whole life combined! lol! Well thank you again!
  14. Hi, I'm in my early 20s and just finishing college. In Dec of 06 I all of a sudden gotten a bad case of burps. I literally burped constantly every 2 minutes. It was embarrassing! Then in the summer, I got tested for numerous things and got an endoscopy and colonosopy. Late that summer I got extreme kidney pains so they gave me a CAT scan. I've had other...
  15. I feel your pain!! I really do, I've been suffering for 2 years now and I have had every test possible, diabetes, endoscopy, colonoscopy, cat scan, blood test, urine tests, poop tests and everything comes back neg. It gets to the point to where I feel like I'm a hypochondriac and that I possibly may be making this all up in my head...it sucks majorly. ...
  16. I've only started this gluten free diet for about a week and a half now with much accidental consumption of gluten. I don't know quite if gluten intolerance/celiac is what I have, (I had an endoscopy when the symptoms first started and a blood test) but my doctor recommended that I go on this diet. And so far I've been feeling better and noticed I had flare...
