  4. Thank you so much! You gave some great ideas for lunch and snacks! I love to do bentos already so I am just having to find more creative ways to make a cute lunch. I found a rice chex recipe for faux sushi using gummy bears and I am going to use fruit instead. I think my son will like them. I bought a lunch box for him, need to get a lidlock box his is missing...
  5. I had a gastric bypass 7 years ago and have been self diagnosed with celiac disease by diet, my local doctors are a waste of time. If you have a specific question I would love to help you.
  6. The closest one is almost 2 hours from me so before I go I need to try and figure out what I can buy and what to look for. I know that all carry different things but if you can give me a list of things you buy and the brand that would be a huge help. We are going in 2 weeks so I have time to research what we can and can't buy there.
  7. I would love the recipe to this and the goldfish you mentioned to me on the other thread
  8. I believe the children's is a little different. I told my son's doctor that I was using it when his stomach hurt and he said that was fine.
  9. Thanks, I will look again for crust and mixes. The tortilla pizza looks simple and fast, just what I like!
  10. Looking for recipes for crackers of any type. My son loves graham crackers and animal cookies and I have found mixes on line but would love to try and make them along with regular crackers or even pretzels. The nearest whole food and trader joes is 3 hours so right now we only get pretzels on special occasions.
  11. Looking for a quick and easy way to make pizza. I have looked everywhere and can't find a mix, I don't have whole foods or a trader joes so those places are out.
  12. I give my son the children chewable tablets, he is 2.
  13. Thanks! He will love the sushi own with fruit instead of gummy worms!
  14. thanks! I think I will try and pack him a few bananas and some chips. The closest place to buy gluten-free crackers, gluten-free prezets and gluten-free cereal, except Rice chex, is 3 hours from me so those are out. I need to learn how to make gluten-free snacks like crackers! So far Wendy's, Chick-fil-A and Hardee's have been very accommodating with me...
  15. Thanks, I am busy today looking for recipes. Last week was good. We were at my mom's for 3 days, I sprained my ankle and can't walk, and any time he saw something that had gluten I told him what was in it and that it would make his tummy hurt. Every time I said that he would say Oh and walk off or then ask for something else. We ate our special lunch...
  16. Thank you. can you give me some snack ideas I could maybe pack if I can get them to take a small bag? We eat mainly at home so most of what we eat needs to be kept cold.
  17. I am looking for fun and quick things for my son to eat for meals and snacks. We have very little gluten free foods where I live so if you even have cracker recipes they would be a huge help. He gets snack at church and I will have to start to bring his own so any ideas are appreciated. I am a SAHM but we stay really busy and are on a tight tight budget so...
  18. My mother and sister are taking my son to see his great grandparents in 2 weeks. Jackson is only one week gluten free, I am going on 1 1/2 months, and they want a list of foods that are safe for him to eat when traveling. Packing a cooler is out because they just don't have room in the van, they are traveling with 4 kids. I need both breakfast foods at...
  19. thank you to you both. I have been gluten free for a month and feel so good, I really hope this helps my son. If not it will help me out since I hate when has gluten since it makes meal time for meal stressful since I have to worry about CC the whole time. Thanks for the food ideas. We are having a picnic thing this Saturday at church, everyone is having...
  20. My son just turned 2 at the end of August. We still have him on gluten when we are out of the house but I regret it every time we give it to him. His favorite foods are bread and pasta and when he sees someone else eating these he will cry and beg for some. Then we have to put up with a irritable clingy toddler with a belly ache for the rest of the day....
  21. Do you know if most insurance companies cover genetic testing?? Also would I be able to get this done on my and my son at our primary doctors office??
  22. I understand!! I am going out of town overnight with my parents and my sister's family and was trying to find out where we would be eating at so I could look online and be prepared. My mom said, I know this is hard but you just need to pack food with you and that way if you can't eat what we choose then you can eat what is in your bag. Yes, let me eat...
  23. I emailed Heinz this morning asking about a product that I wanted to use in a recipe and I got back this wonderful email that I thought might help others out. Here you go. Thank you for your interest in Heinz Products. We certainly understand how difficult it can be to find foods that meet the requirements of a restricted diet. As you requested...
  24. Thanks, sorry about that. I was typing and talking to Jackson, my son.
  25. If my HGB (iron) is going up, I will know today, then I will be taking my son, 2, in this week for testing. When I was tested a month ago my doctor didn't do the right tests, and won't retest me, so I only have the fact that the diet is making me feel better to go on. I want to go in to my son's doctor knowing exactly what tests I need done on him...
