  1. This is exactly how I feel when glutened.... I also get like a racing heart, palpatations with the anxiety. It really is different with everyone though, the idea of writing everything down along with a food diary is ideal. Especially at the beginning Cory
  2. I volunteer at our local shelter If you're unsure, just wear disposable gloves when feeding. I clean kennels, do laundry, stuff Kongs, sort toys, help potential adopters etc and I've never had a problem. I do wash my hands about a million times during my 4 hour shift, but that is to prevent illness between animals. If you pet a cat/dog and don't wash...

Accidentally glutened myself last night at dinner. Had beef with "sauce" duuuhhhhhhhhhhh but only minor issues today. It was an interesting evening talking with my Asia co-workers on gluten issues Rather difficult to explain but I think I got the point across.... Traveling home tomorrow, it's been a really good trip and only 1 minor glutening.....
  4. I can second this... In fact I'm eating them right now I'm on a trip overseas and they ordered pizza for lunch. I had packed my gluten-free pretzels and some Lara Bars thankfully. My family loves the Snyders too, but I don't share LOL

LOL! This thread is like food porn I'm traveling in China for work this week and I must say it's interesting ... they don't have a lot of processed foods here so I "think" I'm pretty safe. I'm sticking to veggies and meats... they do have awesome fresh fruits so I fill up at breakfast. One thing I noticed was they keep the cooked bacon on top of sliced...

Ooooo thanks! I've tried Udi's and Rudi's gluten-free breads but ..... ugh. I'll look for the Glutino. Someone mentioned pizza.... another smell that drives me batty Friday nights were always pizza and beer nights *sigh* Oh well, my butt certainly can afford to skip the pizza and I can have gluten-free beer, even if it's sub-par.

So I just wanted to throw this out there I am sitting at work and someone is making toast in the kitchen area nearby. I literally started to drool..... I miss toast and PB in the morning so much. gluten-free bread is ok in a pinch but it's just not the same. I've only been at this gluten-free thing for about 8 month now, I do hope this gets easier...
  8. What??? How did I not know this? And I also suffer from inflammation so I will get some nettle tea this week... this board is so helpful
  9. I too am going to try grain free. I have been gluten free for about 6 months now. I was doing very well but tended to lean on rice and corn. I've started feeling horrible again... fatigued, major D, achy joints, eyesight going wonky... So after doing some reading I'm beginning to suspect I need to just stay away from all grains. I'm so tired of being tired...
  10. This is so reassuring. I have been gluten-free for about 4 months and haven't lost a pound either. BUT I am using things like plain potato chips and plain white rice to get me through. I'm going to get more fresh foods in the house so they are available instead of junk. I did notice that a lot of the prepared gluten-free foods are not very healthy as far...
  11. Hi All, I am finally going for a double-dip tomorrow Endoscopy and colonoscopy. I had cancer 2 years ago and because I had pelvic radiation, my oncologist suspected I had radiation proctitis. When I met with the GI he went over everything very carefully and said he really felt it was celiac... so here I am. Because I am "cleansing" today, I must...
